Pastries were amazing, even though would’ve preferred if they were freshly warmed up/baked slightly before serving. Highly recommend the Pain Au Chocolat and the Raspberry Pan Suisse. Madeline was okay, not mind blowing. (i may be biased as my mom’s madelines are alr amazing and always served warm) This again, wish they were warmed up! Anyway, the egg tart was also not for me. It was more custardy than i am used to. I would describe it as feeling i was eating a danish pastry without the fruits? Not the usual egg tart that people may expect, but still worth a try. Drinks: Not much to say except it met a typical cafe standard and wasn’t horrible. Service: AMAZING service, polite, attentive. Do consider buying pastries back home and warm/bake them up for next day. I think it would be amazing for breakfast or tea-break. Also, has 10% service charge. No 9% on top of prices.

🔵 Mimmo Bakery Asia Square Tower 1, Level 1 🔵 Nearest MRT Station = 🔵 Downtown Line and 🟤 Shenton Way Station. ⚫️ Decor / Ambience *********************** ⚫️ The interior features a modern aesthetic featuring concrete accent walls, light wood panelling and arched nooks. It offers banquette seating & wooden tables. ⚫️ This HK-based cafe opened officially in June 2026 and, I read online that the cafe is helmed by Le Cordon Bleu-trained Chef Domenico Giammarella. It's famous for its pastries like the Pistachio Bolo Bao and croissant-crust Egg Tarts. 🟡 Food / takeaway ********************* 🟡 Hot Cafe Latte / SGD6 ➖️ The cafe latte was creamy and smooth, with pleasant coffee notes and very little bitterness. 🟡Apple Croissant / SGD5➖️ This is a flaky, buttery croissant filled with fragrant apple compote. Delicious, well balanced and not overly sweet. 🟡 Egg Tart / SGD4➖️ The egg tart featured a crisp, flaky and buttery croissant-style crust filled with smooth, well-balanced egg custard. 🟩 The staff were affable and polite throughout my visit there.

It is wonderful to eat the lovely pastries you have all made (JL)! It's well worth the special trip down to Mimmo!!! Our first visit was met with great warmth and excellent service by the hardworking trio Hassy, Peiyi & Yuss! They introduced the various pastries well and shared about other menu items, as well as the weekend brunch. All the pastries were yummy & very high quality! The crust was crunchy and flaky! Love the custard!!! So delighted to have found Mimmo as my go to spot!!!

Mimmo features a selection of pastries, savoury dishes and desserts that showcase the café’s take on contemporary Italian flavours. Whether you’re stopping by for coffee and pastries or a hearty meal, there’s something for every craving. The pastries are freshly baked daily and make a great pairing with your coffee, while the savoury offerings are perfect if you’re looking for something more substantial. One thing we liked is that you can build your own pasta by choosing your preferred pasta type, sauce, protein and toppings. ➊ Apple Croissant S$5 - Croissant filled with vanilla and apple custard, finished with an apple rose. ➋ Tigres S$2 - my friend bought me the other time and I love it! A almond and chocolate chip cake with a luscious caramel centre. ➌ Egg Tart S$4 - get to eat it fresh off the shelf this time, and it’s so good! Flaky croissant pastry with a smooth egg custard filling. ➍ Pistachio Bolo Bao S$5 - Their take on the classic bolo bao, filled with mascarpone pistachio cream. ➎ Tiramisu S$12 - Classic Italian tiramisu with mascarpone, espresso-soaked ladyfingers and hazelnuts. Served by the scoop, just like the traditional way. ➏ Italian Club Sandwich S$18 - Loaded with Parma ham, mortadella, pesto, provolone, alfalfa sprouts, tomato and citrus aioli. A must-order if you enjoy the distinctive taste of alfalfa sprouts, as their flavour comes through quite prominently. ➐ Strozzapreti alla Gigi (Pasta) - Chef’s favourite fresh twisted pasta tossed in a rich mushroom and pancetta rosé sauce. It leans more towards a firmer al dente texture, which some may find too firm, but it was acceptable for me.

Came here on a sat late morn after seeing the social posts and reviews. Didn’t meet expectations. The signature pistachio bolo bun was ok, custard egg tart not bad. But didn’t have the wow factor. Being a regular visitor to Hong Kong, I much prefer Bakehouse. Service was so-so also. We sat at the outside tables but drinks were served in take away cup. I asked for my piccolo to be changed into a dine-in cup, and the staff simply transferred. My coffee had no layers, no light foam, no art. Disappointing. I won’t come again.

Patronised this cafe twice, and while the bakes are amazing, the slowness in the service is truly appalling. On both occasions, I placed my order on their QR system but waited almost 30 mins both times for my bakes to arrive? Not sure what was the hold up as the staff seemed rather free at the counters. Only after I showed the staff my order on their online website, then they proceeded to serve me my bakes.

When we arrived around 1pm on a weekday, a few items have sold out including the Almond Croissant, Pistachio Bolo Bun and Tigrrs that we were looking forward to. We ordered a couple of the Pastry Set that comes with one pastry and a drink each. The Raspberry Pain Suisse had a laminated shine and the layers were defined. It fell short of the crispiness and flakiness that I was expecting, and it could do with more raspberry and pastry cream filling. It was almost unnoticeable. The signature Egg Tart was Portuguese style and it was flaky and buttery. The custard was light and had a lemony and vanilla taste in it. We had a Long Black and Flat White for our sets. Both coffee were light bodied and mild.

Visited Mimmo on a Saturday morning and was really enjoyable. The egg tart is an absolute must-try, crispy, buttery pastry with a deliciously smooth filling. In fact, all the pastries we ordered were fresh and yummy and the coffee was well made too. The only area that needs improvement is the customer service. The staff didn’t greet customers or smile and their attitude came across as though they didn’t really enjoy being there. A warmer and more welcoming service would make the overall experience even better, especially since the food and coffee are already excellent. We definitely return for the pastries and coffee and hope the service matches the quality of the food in the future.
