There are a tonne of cafe options along this Katong/Joo Chiat stretch (at the moment in 2026, is the hip place to spend the weekend). But this one always have a line outside. 2 dining space (indoors and outdoors) in 1 line and walk in for take-aways. The main draw is the baked good. Very creative and well made breads and cakes. Looks like the breads are baked on site. Yummy yummy. Worth the short waiting time.

Stumbled on this place. Lovely vibe - clearly very popular with the locals. Tried their freshly made H&C sandwich - beautiful soft ciabatta, generously packed with ham, cheese and greens. Simple and perfect. A lady in the queue recommended a croissant pretzel so I tried that - beautiful. Somehow has a texture of both the croissant and a pretzel at the same time. Yes, I know the name suggested that, but was surprised to hear able to taste both at the same time. Definitely a keeper!

Today I ordered the Caprese Ciabatta and was surprised to have it served extremely cold (I’m not even exaggerating). The bread was so tough that it was difficult to cut through, and I had to ask for it to be warmed up. Even then, it came back barely warm. Since I couldn’t really enjoy the pastry, I ended up sitting there observing what happened when another customer ordered the exact same item. Interestingly, a lady got the exact same thing and without being asked, her pastry was taken to the back and warmed before being served. Curious, I apologetically asked her whether she had requested it to be warmed, and she said no. I then politely asked one of your staff whether the item was supposed to be warmed, as mine had been served very cold. I was told that the burrata was meant to remain cold while the bread and tomatoes were supposed to be warm, and therefore the pastry was intended to be served cold. At that point, I didn’t see much value in explaining further because I don’t think my concern was quite understood. What I was trying to point out was the inconsistency. The customer beside me was able to cut through her pastry effortlessly. When I later asked if hers had been warmed, she confirmed that it had. So while I was being told the item was meant to be served cold, another identical pastry had quietly been warmed without the customer even having to ask. What made the difference even more noticeable was that my pastry was handed to me almost immediately after ordering, whereas hers appeared to be given a little more attention before being served. As a result, it felt as though there were two different preparation standards being applied at the same time. Unfortunately, I just happened to receive the version that required significantly more effort to eat. To be clear, the flavours were actually very good. That’s what makes this experience more disappointing. The pastry had all the potential to be excellent, but serving it cold and inconsistently prepared took away from what should have been an enjoyable meal. This is the first time I’ve left one of your outlets feeling disappointed. I know your brand is capable of much better (Love the team at Serene Centre), and I hope this feedback helps improve consistency across your stores. After all, whether a customer receives a warm pastry or an ice-cold one probably shouldn’t come down to luck.

Bakery with nice exterior and interior, lots of selection of bread. Serves big breakfast as well. Had the flat white, quite a small cup for $5.50, taste ok. The yogurt cake is moist, not bad. But slightly pricey, $6+ for a slice. Total cost for 2 coffee and 1 cake is $17. Good place to chill with friends, nice ambience and not crowded on weekday afternoon. Closed at night. Service is good and staff is friendly.

Micro Bakery is an absolute favourite in the Joo Chiat neighbourhood and a true haven for sourdough lovers. The fig and cream cheese ciabatta is hands down my all-time favourite and beautifully balanced, flavourful, and consistently satisfying with every bite. It’s no surprise that the bakery gets packed on weekends and even on weekday mornings, so coming early is definitely recommended. They are well known for having some of the best sourdough bakes, with a wide variety of options to choose from ….and each one thoughtfully crafted and full of character. The coffee is good, the service is top-notch, and you’re almost always greeted with genuine attention and warmth. The team here truly makes the experience special. Great food, great coffee, and even better people. Love the energy!! keep rocking, Micro Bakery!

The service is so warm! Can feel everyone is so passionate about their job! And all their bakery items are so delicious! Repeated loyal customer. Unfortunately it's quite far away, can only come once in a while. hopefully they'll open a branch in Tampines! In Our Tampines Hub or one of the 3 malls. I ate 7 items at one shot today! Caprese Ciabatta This is the first item I ate. The tomatoes are so fresh, there's some jammy sauce and creamy burrata that goes so well together. The dough has the right level of chew. So shiok eating all the elements together! Cranberry macadamia cream cheese baguette Next was this. Crunchy in the outside, soft inside. Nice blend of sweet and savoury with slight tang from the cranberry. Love the melt in your mouth cream cheese. Four Cheese Ciabatta This is rich but not cloying. Very unique saltiness umami from the cheeses esp the crust and there's more cheese underneath the crust, in the middle of the bread. Hope can be seen from the photos. Very satisfying. The dough I think has a different level of chew from the Caprese ciabatta, a bit more robust I think, contributes to the satisfaction. Raspberry pistachio kouign amann This is so flaky! Yet soft and fluffy inside, contrasted with the crunchy chopped pistachios which were chopped not too finely so you can appreciate the taste of the pistachios. The raspberries complement the pistachios very well Dark Chocolate Zucchini Cake Very moist and not jelak at all! Feels like eating something very healthy even though it's decadent. Orange Polenta This is very refreshing! Love the citrus flavour, can see the orange peel bits in the photos. Love the crunch from the nuts. The polenta texture is also very pleasant. Somewhat pops in your mouth kind of feel, not mushy. Banana Walnut Cake One of my favourites and must order item whenever I'm here. The fragrance is so confusing, and the somewhat molasses texture of gooey yumminess makes this so shiok. goobled this up and wanted more after finishing it. But quite full from 7 items already haha. Satisfying meal! Looking forward to a branch in Tampines!

The coffee is great, and we highly recommend trying the orange cold brew - it’s refreshing and a standout choice 😋 The service is very friendly. Great food, great coffee, and gr8 people. Loving it. Definitely will come back.

Small cafe opposite from i12 katong with nice interior, providing both indoor and outdoor seating. They have bakes displayed on the counter and also a small mains menu, including things like grilled cheese. There's a QR code to scan for the menu at the table but you still have to head to the counter for payment and also to order bakes, which didnt really make sense. We had the grilled cheese with pastrami which was absolutely delicious! Caprese focaccia was a little tough to bite through but the burrata portion on it was generous. We also had the dark chocolate zucchini cake which was surprisingly yummy, it was giving a little bit of carrot cake vibes but zucchini. Overall good experience and attentive staff (-:
