Tien Lai Rice Stall (天來飯店)

Generous portion, comes before lunch rush to avoid big queue. I don't think it's worth queuing but quite good old school roasted meat. Got the triple meat; charsiew/roasted duck/roasted meat. Roasted duck is good, meat can be dry. But the skin is yummy. Charsiew is decent when you get the charred ones, but can be a little on sweet side. The roasted meat is crispy but skin to meat ratio is not amazing. Egg is good, service is good!

Roast duck Drumstick rice cost me $8.80!!!! Upon payment I asked lady boss the actual price of the drumstick she was not happy! Drumstick $8 rice 80 ct in a hawker environment. Ripe off! I paid only $5.50 for yummy roast duck drumstick rice at Maxwell hawker CBD area ! Not supporting anymore! Slow too

​My first experience today involved ordering the char siew and roast pork rice with a braised egg (卤蛋). I also dabao the roast duck with a braised egg, totaling $10.60. While the food maintained a good standard, it didn't quite reach the level I was hoping for, as i personally felt that it lacked the 'Wow' factor that makes a dish truly memorable. On a separate note, I was impressed to see the nearby coffee stall offering a cup of coffee for only $0.90."

Ordered duck, roast meat, char Siew and chicken for 3 person. $31+ for 3 person. Tasted ok but feel that it's slightly expensive. What takes away the stars is the service. Queue is long but you still have to put up with those buddies of the stall who don't queue but get served first. Not worth the time

Generous portions and reasonable price of $5.30 for roast meat, char siew and an egg. So delicious! Crispy pork belly, sweet savoury charred char siew meat. Perfect with their chilli on the side.

Absolutely amazing establishment, it truly lives up to it's name! Id go daily if I didn't live in punggol XD The rice is fragrant and flavorful, cooked in a special way, the taste is simple yet exquisite. All the meat was tasted excellent, the shao rou skin was extremely crispy while the meat remained tender, the char siew was soft on the insides and just the right amount of crisp on the outer layer, the duck was moist and the skin just amazing to bite into, both textures and taste pairing to create something absolutely smashing. The egg pairs well with the meal although it sells out fast I'd suggest going in the early morning, I find the yolk pairs with the rice well and the whites the meat. While the sauce has a rich and in depth tasting flavor that can't be found anywhere else, believe me I've tried. The owners are extremely nice people and get stuff done quickly and efficiently while maintaining excellent quality, theyre truly friendly people and it especially shows in how they interact with their regular customers.t The environment gives a nostalgic childhood hawker experience and the flavors of the food take you there, especially for me. Prices are as friendly as the people, truly a wonderful establishment as shown in their many achievements.
