The roasted pork is the highlight—crispy skin with a good crunch, while the meat stays juicy. Char siew leans towards the drier, wanton mee-style cut, but the generous drizzle of sauce helps balance it out. The garlic chilli packs a nice punch and pairs well with the meats. Clear soup is simple but has a comforting chicken stock flavour. Portion is on the smaller side, so you’ll probably want to top up with extra meat—though even then it may not be super filling. Queue gets quite long during peak lunch, and seating in the kopitiam is limited. Still, a reliable spot if you’re craving a good mixed meat rice nearby.

Came across this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the roasted chicken and roasted pork. The chicken was juicy and tender while the roasted pork had crispy skin and a good balance of meat and fat. The rice was fragrant and went well with the meats. The chilli was really good and paired well with both the chicken and roasted pork.

I am so soooo glad that they are still around after 26 years. I used to work at United Square nearly 20 years ago and this chicken rice has been my regular diet. Very affordable price, very good chicken rice, very friendly service. I just chatted with the owner. Told him that I am so happy to see that they are still around even on a Saturday without the office crowd! They are looking like they are doing well. Lots of cheerful conversations with customers, non-stop action. The chicken rice I ate today tasted just as good as before, bringing back good memories and vibes. Only $4.

Classic staple for all the office workers within the Novena for a proper Chicken Rice and roasted delights at wallet friendly prices; a plate of roasted chicken rice stands at $4.00, love it. Quality of food doesn't disappoint as well, with the chicken well seasoned and the rice most importantly its not plain white rice. Another bomb <3 The entire place has been around for ages, and there is even an old school stand inside handling drinks; kopi-O only $1.50, hands down win any of the chain coffee places and quality isn't lacking either. Thank you Goldhill Chicken Rice for being there, saving all the stomachs and wallets of the people working there during lunch time!

$5 for a bowl of wanton noodle. The noodle is just average to me although the charsiew is quite thick which makes it better than most thinly sliced charsiew. The coffee c here at $1.60 is pretty good too. May come back next time to try the chicken rice.

Haven't been here for quite some times. Their roast chicken rice is still as good. Rice texture are great and aromatic. Roast chicken meat are tender. Pity that their roast duck are sold out when i arrived. Their steam chicken, roast pork, char siew, roast duck and wantons are not to be missed. Chilli sauce is well balanced, goes well with the rice and meats. Aromatic and tasty soup. Friendly stall owner. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.
