Xing Yun Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice

I have been a regular and devoted customer of the Xing Yun Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice stall at Blk 347, Jurong East (Yuhua) for many years, and the quality has remained exceptionally high. ​The rice is truly top-tier, perfectly fragrant and flavorful. Combined with their legendary chilli—which is without a doubt, best-in-class—it reaches a level of perfection where I could happily finish the entire serving of rice with just the chilli alone. Next, the boneless chicken is consistently soft, tender, and moist, complementing the robust flavors of the rice and chilli beautifully. ​ ​This stall is always at the very top of my must-eat list whenever I return home from being overseas.

In my hearts of hearts, they dont even deserve one star. I ordered breast meat and drumstick, and this is what i got(Left picture). I showed the boss this picture and feedback to him about the missing drumstick in the chicken rice and showed him the other picture i got from another store nearby. He said the other store is styrofoam boxed packaging so the meat is left intact and clearly visible, while his is paper packaging and the meat can get mixed up. He then quickly added, "You must have stirred the rice because when we pack, the meat doesnt look like that". I told him it was because we were trying to find the drumstick. He said that if I put up his stall name in the media, he wound get a lawyer to sue me because its my words against him. For $8.30, supposedly ordered chicken rice with breast meat and one drumstick, this store is clearly doing business without a conscience, honesty and integrity. The picture on the right showed chicken rice with breast meat and drumstick, it cost only $8 from another stall. Just try out the other Chicken Rice stalls like the one in the attached photo. You wont regret!

Boneless: Suitable for children and elderly people, the other comment I have is; their rice is dried and not sticky. I added a hard-boiled egg, total $10.50. 27 Nov 21’ I've been to this chicken rice stall many times. Boneless chicken is safer to eat, especially for children and the elderly, so I often order takeout for my dad. The only downside: the portion is a little smaller than other places. 😅 02 Jan 22’ On the second day of the Lunar New Year, I came here for breakfast. Boneless chicken drumstick rice. 👍 10 Apr 22’ I came here for takeout the day before yesterday and came back for breakfast today. Joined the Queue. Yes! It was very good, satisfying and no hassle chicken rice as it’s boonless. Presentation, quality and volume of steamed Chicken, Rice, Chilli, Ginger sauce & soup was excellent as per the Michelin given. Highly recommended to come and try for yourself.

Friendly service, Auntie greets me and answer my questions patiently. Will give suggestions if you ask. Chicken is soft and tender, comes with bone. Must at least get half chicken so you get the skin. However, my half chicken did not come with the chicken wing or drum stick. This is not ethical as the store rather separate this two high demand parts to sell more plates. Sauce is on the light side, so it is not too oily and salty. Price wise is affordable for the amount and quality. Queued 30 minutes from 11.40am onwards.

I will never get tired of eating here even if I have transferred already. It's always great to see Auntie, remembering me and telling me she haven't seen me for a long time. Their chicken rice is the best for me here in Singapore. The long queue says it all. It also brings nostalgia, back then when I was still new here and have lived there in Jurong East. One of the best places for Hainanese boneless chicken rice! The chicken is incredibly tender and flavorful, and the rice is fragrant with just the right texture—not too oily, not too dry. The chili sauce is a standout too—spicy, tangy, and perfectly complements the dish. However the queue is long and need to wait quite some time. The portions are generous for the price. Whether you’re dining in or taking away, it’s consistently good.
