The Other Room

We were hanging around the entrance and got curious when we saw people going in and out of a hidden room. We knocked, and a Filipino accent staff with pony tail member attended to us. Unfortunately, he came across as rude and condescending when asking about our group size. He seemed frustrated and walked back inside. A short while later, he came out and started shouting our names. We were seated at the hotel lobby across the entrance, so we couldn’t hear clearly at first. He kept shouting until we noticed and went in. The atmosphere and the waitresses inside was great, though the music was a bit too loud. The menu was somewhat complicated, but we managed. Overall, the experience is mixed. The management should really look into improving staff service—especially being more patient, genuinely polite, and understanding with customers..

Had an excellent experience at The Other Room in Singapore. The atmosphere is intimate, stylish, and really unique, with a great speakeasy feel that makes the whole night feel special. The cocktails were outstanding — creative, well balanced, and clearly made with a lot of skill and attention to detail. The service was also exceptional, with staff who were knowledgeable, attentive, and made the experience even better. Everything felt polished and high quality from start to finish. Definitely one of the standout cocktail bars in Singapore and somewhere I’d gladly return to.

A speakeasy hidden inside the marriott tangs hotel. Initially I thought it was just a cocktail bar. So last night was my first time. SERVICE 4/5 I was supposed to meet someone there. When I opened that brown door (a hotel staff told me "The Other Room" was behind that brown door), a staff came out and said something which I did not understand. I went was the bar fully occupied, he went "Madam, it was a Saturday night!" in a most condescending way. Then my friend showed up behind me and said they would call us when a table was available. Then we waited by some seats at the hotel lobby. I was then told a group of a few ladies got cheesed because of the attitude of the same staff. I had to say when a table opened up and upon leaving, the staff was friendly. I think it was his tone and demeanor that would rub people the wrong way. DRINKS 5/5 I went over there from another party event. All I wanted was a nice mocktail for the night. Mocktails are not featured in the menu. I told the server to make me anything. It turned out really nice. AMBIANCE 4/5 It was a speakeasy and really loud. Not a place for conversation, I mean you can but you really need to lean or sit closely to the person you are with to hear every part of the conversation. The writings on the wall was just funny. Some of the drinks were served with real panache. The lady next to me ordered a drink which came inside a glass box with some effect. I went and said to her "woah, that's impressive!"

I literally walked around twice trying to find it... ended up asking the reception There's just a small logo on the door, but once you step inside-total vibe. Chill music (not too loud), cozy atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Started us off with a welcome drink that tasted like an espresso martini. Also loved the scribbled quotes on the walls - funny and very on-brand. Habanera ($28) Tequila-based cocktail with a strong alcohol kick, balanced by sourness and a slight sweetness. Exactly my kind of drink. Zen Dust ($26) My friend ordered this Christmas special - creamy matcha vibes with a whiskey base. We got one free shot later in the night - Saturday night perks, I guess? Definitely a fun spot if you're into hidden bars with strong drinks and good vibes 😎

That one is my favorite ❤️ The staff are really welcoming and knowledgeable — they’re happy to guide you through their extensive drinks list! Genuine hospitality is evident.
