Next Shikaku

8/10 The broth was undeniably delicious, with a rich and flavorful combination of onions and oysters. Adding a lemon slice halfway through made it even more complex. Unfortunately, it was too oily, and the meat I had today was too fatty. The biggest disappointment was the noodles. While they seemed similar to those at the original Japanese restaurant, they weren't suited to the rich broth. They felt too much like regular homemade noodles, failing to absorb the broth, and the chewy texture was a shame with the rich soup. I hope they'll offer thin or extra-thin noodles (bosomen) in the future, or perhaps allow customers to choose the firmness of the noodles; that would probably make it much tastier.

Amazing oyster ramen experience at Next Shikaku! The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with umami from the oysters, without being overly fishy at all — such a unique take on ramen compared to the usual tonkotsu options in Singapore. The chashu was thick and generous, perfectly balanced between lean and fatty, and the ajitama (seasoned egg) was cooked just right with a beautiful runny yolk. We also tried the broiled meat sushi, which was seared to perfection, unlocking so much flavour from the raw beef — comparable to specialty sushi restaurants. The ambience with the digital art projections adds a really cool, modern vibe to the whole dining experience. Highly recommend for ramen lovers looking for something different!

Delicious and Umami oyster cooked ramen, on the savoury end. Pairs well with the Wagyu beef nigiri sushi. The ramen can feel quite filling after a while due to the very flavourful soup, is good to add some of the sansho pepper so that the citrus flavour can cut through the soup. Would have been great to have some beansprouts or veggie, the pork belly portion was small as well, though it added a heaviness to the flavourful soup. Something light like veggie would have been perfect!

The koeru oyster broth was pretty thick and had a nice subtle seafood flavour without being too fishy. It leans a little creamy and a little cloying at the midway point, so the sudachi slice helps, but it was too thin to leave an impact beyond 2-3 spoons. The toppings were well done, chashu tender and flavourful and the menma and onions crunchy and texturally adding something new. Broth is also hot. I think the condiments were on the weaker side with the sansho a little weak and I would like more options to add acidity beyond the sudachi slice.

Love such unique oyster based ramen broth 🫶🏻 ramen had such a great chewy yet bouncy texture — both thick & clear broth oyster broth had different types of noodles that suit the flavours and textures perfectly :) I preferred my clear broth as it had more intense oyster aroma to it without being too heavy, the prawn dumplings were divine. Thick broth was good as well but it could have been better with more acidity. Pork in the ramen had the perfect thickness, but the porky smell (iykyk) was a bit too much for me. Beef sushi was to die for! Used grab pay during payment and had 15% discount^^ Great experience in general ✨

I like the slow cooked oyster broth(Koreu) ramen. The soup is nice, chashu is thick and delicious. 1 thing can improve is the smelly in the restaurant and add more kind of ramen.

Love the oyster ramen here - the bowl feels close to the Osaka branch’s as far as I recall. Soup was thick and rich, egg had a lovely smokiness to it, and the meat was tender and delicious.

We ordered a oyster broth and clear soup broth. The clear soup broth is a little bland to our taste. Overall, the food experience is good!
