A lot of locals eat here, which is always a great sign when looking for authentic food. The food was absolutely delicious, and the standout for us was the fermented fish sauce. The best way I can describe it is “umami”—deep, savory, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. It really added another level to the dishes. Just a heads-up: cash only, so make sure to bring enough cash with you. If you're looking for an authentic local restaurant rather than a tourist-oriented place, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Definitely worth experiencing!

My first time eating at this restaurant, they had 3 Michelin stars! 🤣 The food was very good. The flavor wasn't too salty, leaning towards a slight sweetness, and didn't have a strong fish sauce smell. Even I, who don't usually like fish sauce, found it delicious. The restaurant was clean, and they offered free warm water outside. The prices were also reasonable. My bowl was a mixed dish, but unfortunately, they didn't have any meatballs that day.

Ba Dong's vermicelli with fermented fish sauce has a very rich flavor; the fermented fish sauce is fragrant but not too strong, and when mixed with pork, pork sausage, fresh vegetables, and peanuts, it's very palatable. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the price is reasonable. The service is fast, the place is clean, and the owners are very friendly. If you want to enjoy authentic Da Nang-style vermicelli with fermented fish sauce, this is a place well worth visiting.

When traveling, I always stop at any local eatery near my hotel, even without reading reviews, and I always find my perfect spot. The restaurant is typical of a local eatery, so the interior isn't fancy. It's quite popular with locals eating there and buying takeout, so if you're staying near this area, you should definitely give it a try.

The first time I came here, I had to eat two bowls to satisfy my craving. Since then, every time I go to Da Nang, I eat here right away, so you can imagine how delicious it is. The price is reasonable too. Absolutely amazing!

I'm not sure how they got this Michelin star, and I'm pretty sure the Michelin judges are all locals, since many flavors that suit local tastes might not appeal to foreigners. First of all, there's no English for ordering, which is a huge obstacle. Not having English wouldn't be a big deal, as pictures would solve the problem, but there wasn't. When the staff asked what I wanted to eat, I had to tell them through a translator. Honestly, Onomichi was just okay, nothing particularly special. It did have some layers of flavor; Vietnamese cuisine uses lemon, vegetables, and sauces to enrich the noodles, but I didn't find it particularly impressive. Actually, I've noticed many Michelin-starred restaurants in Da Nang have this problem, which makes me wonder if this is genuine. While the taste wasn't bad, my concept of Michelin is that the taste has to be amazing—that's extremely important. A little disappointing, tourists might want to skip this.

The fish sauce is delicious. That's the most important thing. The space may not be very fancy, but the vegetables are fresh.
