An absolute must-visit in Da Nang! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing, and everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. What impressed us the most was the incredible service. We ordered a shrimp dish, and the staff kindly peeled every single shrimp for us by hand at the table. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch that made our dining experience even more special. The restaurant is also spotless, with a beautiful, elegant interior. The servers were extremely professional, attentive, and friendly throughout our meal. This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Da Nang, and we would definitely come back. The only downside is that there is a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. If possible, bring cash to avoid the extra fee.

We chanced upon this restaurant while strolling along Han River toward Thuan Phuoc Bridge (from Novotel hotel), was attracted by yellow exterior. Atmosphere was chill with indoor and outdoor seating, we were seated indoor at 2nd level, comfy with strong air con. Food was delicious as we had late heavy lunch then we ordered fried mushroom spring rolls, grilled pork, banh mi with stew beef, mango smoothie, iced green tea and iced jelly. Service was inattentive, and everyone was rushing as it was nearing closing time.

Not worthy of Michelin-recognized restaurant. The dining area is spacious but feels stuffy and uncomfortably warm. Although fans were available, we had to ask multiple times before they were turned on. Our group consisted of 6 adults, 3 children under 10, and 2 infants. Despite booking and ordering for two tables, the restaurant refused to add extra chairs, forcing part of our family to sit separately and far away. They also would not allow a fan to be placed near us. Service was equally disappointing. Staff were not welcoming, lacked flexibility, and seemed slow to understand simple requests. On a very hot day, there was no staff at the entrance to assist guests, no umbrella service, and no one guiding us to our table. It felt as though the restaurant simply did not need customers. The food was average at best (2/5). We specifically requested a non-spicy soup because we had children and elderly family members, but it still contained chili. When we raised the issue, we were told that the recipe already included chili and could not be adjusted. We also ordered two bowls of broth—one spicy and one non-spicy—but had to ask five times before receiving the correct order.

First time visiting Madame Lan for dinner, and I can understand why it remains one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in Da Nang. The restaurant offers a beautiful open-air setting decorated with colourful lanterns, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Its spacious courtyard and multiple dining areas make it an ideal venue for both intimate meals and large family or corporate gatherings. We started with a selection of Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, featuring prawns and crispy fillings wrapped in delicate rice paper. Light, refreshing, and packed with flavour, they were a wonderful introduction to the meal. The steamed snails cooked with lemongrass and chilli were another highlight, served in a fragrant broth that was both appetising and comforting, with the natural sweetness of the snails shining through. The grilled abalone was tender and enjoyable, while the giant river prawns served in a young coconut impressed with their freshness, sweetness, and firm texture. A simple plate of stir-fried sweet potato leaves with garlic provided a delicious balance to the richer seafood dishes. The grilled pork was another dish I thoroughly enjoyed. Nicely caramelised with a smoky aroma, the pork remained tender and juicy, pairing perfectly with the fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, and peanut dipping sauce. The grilled chicken also stood out, with beautifully roasted skin and succulent meat that carried plenty of flavour. Equally memorable was the steamed fish, topped generously with spring onions, herbs, and crispy fried shallots. The fish was perfectly cooked, moist and delicate, allowing its natural sweetness and freshness to take centre stage. Unfortunately, Madame Lan’s signature duck had already sold out during our visit, which was a little disappointing. Nevertheless, the quality of the seafood, fish, grilled pork, and chicken more than compensated for the missed opportunity. Kind of overrated for me, anyway food taste quite subjective. Spring roll wrap way too rubbery, hard to chew, seems has been put aside quite long time did not serve to us. Beef stew too sweet for me and the carrot and beef not tender. Ban Xeo (the pancake) wrap also stick together, seems put aside too long. The meat inside pancake was too little (I ate other restaurant way more nicer than this Michelin rated restaurant). Steamed rice cake with minced pork and prawn is delicious, soft and flavourful, worth to give a try. Mango Salad seafood is nice too, can give a try. Overall 2out of 5 foods are nice. Thus I rated 2 stars. Service and waitress are awesome, helpful and friendly. No aircond so abit hot during the day. However they still provide a lot fan for each table so still okay. Nearby river.

Really nice experience in the center of Da Nang. The restaurant is spacious, very clean, fully air-conditioned, and comfortable even during hot weather. The food quality was excellent, portions were generous, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for how much we ordered. Perfect place for couples, families, groups of friends, or even casual dinners after exploring the city. I also loved the atmosphere and the view near the Pink Church area. Service was friendly and fast, and overall the restaurant feels modern but still very welcoming. Definitely recommended if you want good Vietnamese food in Da Nang.

Famous restaurant here in Da Nang for being a Michelin rated. Madame Lan is along side Han river so the atmosphere is very breezy. The food is a bit pricey but it’s worth it. We specifically order the grilled scallops, seafod fried rice, and grilled pork neck which are all delicious. Definitely a must try when you visit Da Nang.

Madame Lan is running a masterclass in disappointment here. A unique concept that contrasts the vibrant Danang food scene with what must be a social experiment, to see how much blandness and indifference guests will endure before cutting their losses and going somewhere else. First we were told 5 minutes for a table, then we're next to go in, then they're just cleaning our table, finally after 40 minutes we were directed to our seats, not in the restaurant but in an office repurposed as a dining hall in the building next door. In this cold colourless hall we huddled around the single menu our group was given and began ordering. Now the food did have some impressive qualities, their ability to make something both soggy and dry at the same time is a feat of science, food so colourful and full of ingredients yet so void of flavour creates an experience where you feel you're being fed and starved at the same time. Coupled with the atmosphere of an airport waiting room where every flight has been delayed, the strongest taste here is not on your plate but in the palpable despair around you. If you're planning to break up with someone or want to discourage family from visiting, I highly recommend taking them here, you'll all wish you hadn't and you'll be grateful for every meal you eat afterwards.
