The fish cake was very sweet, its sweetness overpowering all other flavors in the bowl, including the broth. After eating it, all I could taste was the overwhelming sweetness.

Dishonest business. Be careful when you pay. We ordered No.1 (35,000 VND), No.10 (45,000 VND), and one Pepsi (15,000 VND). The total should have been 95,000 VND, but the staff first charged us 105,000 VND. After I questioned it, they changed it to 100,000 VND. I insisted the correct total was 95,000 VND and paid 96,000 VND, but they still didn’t return the 1,000 VND change. It’s not about the money, it’s about honesty. A business should not overcharge customers or keep the change without asking. They also didn’t serve the vegetables that normally come with the meal until another customer who spoke Chinese helped us communicate. It felt like they were taking advantage of tourists. I hope the owner will improve their honesty and treat all customers fairly.

Not the pretty place for pictures but the food was good. It was nearly packed when we got there and stay busy during our meal.

BE CAREFUL WITH MONEY CHANGE! They did try to do the "wrong change scam" on me and my wife. Food is ok. Local vibe and local flavour. My wife order is 55,000(#8). Mine was 45,000(#10). We gave 200,000 VND banknote. They gave us a 90,000 change. We said their change is not enough. Good thing we only orderd 2 items and their menus on the wall showed the price. We showed them result of 45,000+55,000 is 100. So they were forced to give us the 10,000 vnd. Its a small amount i know. And maybe they are either banking on the fact that we will ignore it as its a small amout or we wont notice. We still insisted though. In VIETNAM, always count your money and change.

I read the reviews, and most people complained about the restaurant's attitude. I thought I would be an exception - but no - I was constantly bothered about the bowl of noodles without onions that I had specifically asked the waitress to take my order for. I can't eat onions/cilantro because the smell permeates the broth and food, so I tried to remind the waitress to write down my order: "One full bowl without onions, I can't eat onions." When it was brought out, a different person brought me the bowl with onions, so I thought they had the wrong table. I said, "I ordered a bowl without onions, this isn't mine," because two people before me had ordered full bowls but hadn't received their food yet, so I thought they had made a mistake. The waitress returned it to the cook, and she yelled loudly, "It's just a little onion, why are you making such a fuss? You didn't even take it out, you just put it in out of habit, why do you have to return it?" If she had yelled once, it wouldn't have been a problem, but she kept bothering me the whole time I was eating 🥺 even though the broth... The food was to my liking (I prefer milder, sweeter flavors) and didn't leave my tongue numb from the MSG, otherwise the dish wouldn't be delicious. I can understand that it was a busy holiday, and I'm a bit picky about food. The waitress might have been a bit loud, but perhaps she was just being too demanding and didn't care about customers anymore 🥲 However, the staff here were all friendly and spoke softly.

Nothing special (I've eaten at other restaurants that were much better - I think this is just my taste because the place was crowded and many locals ate there). The broth had a strong bamboo and tomato flavor, but no fishy smell. The fish paste was too fatty and broke apart, not tasty. Personally, I found the tuna dry, tough, and not fresh. It received Michelin awards for 3 consecutive years, which I think is based on Western tastes (a bit bland, not fishy). The kitchen and restrooms were clean.

As a tourist trying fish cake noodle soup for the first time, I found it okay. After eating, remember to use a map for directions, don't be like me, getting lost on Nguyen Chi Thanh street and going the wrong way.
