A massive thank you to Margarita at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers! It was our first time here with our friends, and her warm, hardworking, and observant service was truly outstanding. She anticipated everything we wanted and made our visit unforgettable. The wagyu beef burger with added avocado was absolute perfection!

We visited around 1:45 PM for lunch. Our group of five ordered five different burger sets, including The Mexico City, The Pizza Burger, The Wagyu Steakhouse Burger, Old fashioned and the Truffle Chicken Sandwich. Every single one of us thought the food was absolutely delicious! We also upgraded some of our sides to onion rings and sweet potato fries. The portion sizes here are very generous—unless you are absolutely starving, it is quite a challenge to finish everything on your plate. In terms of price, I didn't find it particularly expensive for the quality you get, especially since it is incredibly filling.

Black Tap with roots in NYC models itself after a classic, upscale New York luncheonette that focuses on an experiential dining vibe, premium ingredients, and visually theatrical desserts. This trendy NYC offshoot is famous for its generous burger portions, extensive craft beer selection, and over-the-top CrazyShakes. Popular options include the Greg Norman Burger (wagyu beef with house buttermilk-dill sauce) and the Wagyu Steakhouse Burger.Famous Milkshakes: Known for towering creations like The Cake Shake (a vanilla shake topped with a slice of cake). Their sundaes are meant to share!

I’ve been to Black Tap before, and one thing that really stood out to me was their milkshake — not only does it look exceptional, it’s also incredibly rich and sweet in a really satisfying way. This time, my friend’s kids were craving burgers after we were around the Bay area, so we headed to Black Tap at about 2pm. Thankfully there was no queue, plenty of seating, and the air-conditioning was a huge relief from the heat. For a place located in Marina Bay Sands, it definitely worked well as a comfortable spot to cool down and relax. Ordering started off fine. There were quite a number of staff around, although most of them seemed clustered near the cashier area. There were four of us dining together. Two of us had already completed our orders, so while waiting for the last person to decide on a drink, we naturally started chatting among ourselves. The staff member taking our order seemed to get impatient and appeared to assume we were talking before completing the order. His tone came across rather short and rude — almost like he was implying, “Can you finish ordering before chatting?” I clarified that we were simply waiting for our friend to decide on a drink. He took the final drink order and walked away. Honestly, compared to my previous visit, the service experience this time was disappointing. That said, the food itself was still very good. The burger was well cooked, juicy, tender, and the portion size remained satisfying. Credit definitely goes to the kitchen team because the food quality was genuinely solid. Even the salad was surprisingly enjoyable — simple vegetables, but nicely seasoned with a nice charred flavour. What affected the experience more was the service attitude. Considering this outlet is located in Marina Bay Sands, which is such a major tourist destination representing Singapore, I do think staff should demonstrate a higher level of patience and hospitality, especially when dealing with groups and families. Overall, still a decent place for a good burger, but the service this visit unfortunately did not match the standard of the food.

The food here is delicious and comes in generous portions, so I’d recommend starting with a few dishes and ordering more later if needed! My personal favorite was the Caesar salad. They also have a fantastic selection of craft beers. On top of that, the reservation process was seamless, and the service was top-notch the staff were super attentive and friendly.

Having tried some other specialty burger joints (Burger Labo, One fattened Calf, Honbo) it's my opinion that Black Tap's beef burgers are head and shoulders above the rest, especially if you have it medium/medium well. Their Wagyu Beef Steakhouse Burger is rightfully the priciest - it's the best and most flavourful, followed closely by the Greg Norman and it's special crumbly juicy texture. Their fries are also pretty outstanding too - the only better ones I've come across are from Bread Street Kitchen.

We had several burgers from the recommended menu. The overall taste of the burgers was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was just right. What really stands out is the sweet potato fries served on the side with the asks on the table. We also ordered the onion rings, but the batter didn’t stay on the onions; it was falling off, and it felt like it needed more seasoning as well. Overall, the service here is really excellent, and the milkshake as you can see in the picture, which is really a treat. I recommend sharing it, as it is quite large; we didn’t manage to finish it. We had a very good time with colleagues having lunch.

I thought people were queuing here for the burgers… but turns out, the desserts were super popular too! Expect only bold flavours, award-winning burgers, and shakes and sundaes that are basically dessert skyscrapers right here at Black Tap. First… we cooled down from the crazy heat with craft beer on tap, creative cocktail and a decadent milkshake. Then the food starts rolling in with succulent and smoky Carolina BBQ Wings which are dangerously addictive! But the real stars were the award-winning burgers. The Greg Norman comes with a juicy wagyu patty... rich, savoury and full of character. While the Wagyu Steakhouse Burger brings steakhouse vibes with bacon, and crispy onions. Simply Mouthwatering! And just when I thought I was full… I saw a bunch of kids staring at their desserts like they discovered treasure. So I had to unleash my inner child and got myself a Hella Hot Fudge CrazySundae! Loaded with vanilla ice cream, and enough toppings to feed the whole squad! Black Tap isn’t just a meal… It’s a full-on burger and dessert adventure that is super satisfying.
