⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Taste, Pricey but Worth It! The food here is top-tier—clean, authentic Japanese flavors that never disappoint. While the portion sizes lean a bit small and the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies the cost. **Pro tip:** Definitely get the set meal; it’s well-rounded and much better value. My only critique is that the service felt a bit cold and mechanical. However, the food is so good that I will absolutely be back!

Is our first time visit Muji cafe. I’m disappointed with my recent experience at your café. The service felt cold and impersonal—the staff communicated in a robotic tone, without warmth or basic engagement. When I ordered a hot coffee, I was not asked about my preferences (such as whether I would like milk). When I later returned to request milk, I was told that I should have informed them earlier as it would be charged differently. This was frustrating, as I would have gladly clarified my preference if I had been asked during ordering. What stood out most was not the policy itself, but the lack of initiative and hospitality in how it was communicated. As a customer, I expect a certain level of attentiveness and courtesy. Given that your brand is associated with Japanese standards of service, this experience was particularly disappointing. I hope you can look into improving staff training and customer interaction to better reflect those expectations. The chicken with mayonnaise is delicious, also the sweet purple potato chestnut roll, very tasty.

Food was good and not oily - 4 stars is because I personally feel it’s slightly overpriced. Will go back again when I feel like having some fancy Cai fan. I chose the 2 deli meal that allows me to choose 1 cold deli and 1 hot deli, along with a side of onsen egg and carrot soup. Must say the carrot soup is YUMMERS 🤩. Also love that it comes with the 16 grain rice, making the meal more nutritious and balanced. A good dessert to end the meal will be the matcha strawberry Swiss roll that is not too sweet and doesn’t feel heavy, though it costs $9.90.

I found the price rather expensive and the portions pathetically small. Mind you, I am not even a big eater. I ordered a two deli dish that consisted of pork patty, apple sauce with orange salsa, one pear, pecan nuts, and chicken salad, one onsen egg, and one 16 grains rice, and one cumin carrot soup. When the server took my salad, it seemed like he was carefully (!) measuring every slice of pear, each pecan nut, the halved tomatoes, the slices of lettuce and the number of pomegranate. The amount of sauce they served was also very small. Fortunately, another server came over and added an extra piece of boiled syruped apple from the orange salsa sauce. I waited to see if she would give me a larger portion of salad, since the original serving was really tiny—but she didn’t. At $16.80 for this dish, it felt really expensive. A more reasonable price, in my opinion, would be around $12. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. I think a person with an average appetite would find that portion far too meager. I must also mention the Lemon Yuzu Tart. It was priced at $10.85, which I found prohibitively expensive. Still, I decided to get it at half the price along with a drink. When I tasted the tart, the overwhelming sweetness immediately took me aback. I don’t mind the sweetness of the meringue—that’s how it’s supposed to be, since sugar is the main ingredient—but the lemon curd was far too sweet. It was so sweet that I cringed, and I would recommend avoiding it, as it’s really not very healthy. Update 31st mar 2026: I came here on 30th March because I had a $2 birthday voucher. I do wish that the discount was bigger, or they could add in a free slice of cake or tart to sweeten the deal. I added another photo of my meal.

Never tried Muji Cafe before so I thought why not give it a go? You get a table first then walk over to the food counter to order up your mains, think Ikea and quasi-Cai Fan stall but with very average Japanese food. My pork katsu donburi cost $17.80 while my partner's 3 set meal was nearly $21. Portions were not great and honestly the taste didn't measure up to what we were paying. Everything was kinda mid and forgettable. Could have gotten the same standards at your run of the mill Jap/Korean stall at any food court at half the price. What I did like though was the service, presentation and ambience of the outlet, pity the food is not on the same level. Almost forgot about our dessert though, the Macha Yuzu cake was actually lovely, though I couldn't taste any macha, the yuzu was on point, tangy, smooth without being over bearing, this was the highlight of the meal and the only item we finished.

Meet my favorite people at Muji Cafe Punggol Coast! I'm absolutely obsessed with Muji Cafe Punggol Coast! The staff at the counter, Loong, Yu Ting, Ai Peng and Miko are incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel like part of the MUJI family. Their genuine smiles and exceptional service make every visit a delight. In the dining area, Jian Fa's enthusiasm and attentive care shine through as he guides customers to their tables and introduces new customers to the menu. Even the chef's friendly demeanor is notable when he answers my food queries without hesitation. The food menu is a standout - delicious, healthy, and nutritious, with plenty of options to cater to different dietary needs. I'm thoroughly hooked, visiting not once but twice a week, and it's become my norm! Can't recommend this place enough - it's a true gem!

Love the clean concept at MUJI Cafe — you get a good mix of healthy cold and hot deli options, so there’s something for every appetite. The add-on drinks menu is extensive too, with plenty of hot and cold choices to complete the meal. Make sure to order a pot of tea 🫖as it's refillable! Desserts are a standout. The tarts and cakes are top notch and seriously Instagrammable. 📸 It’s slightly on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for an occasional treat. 🍽️
