We had heard that Lola serves pretty good food, and we've passed by several times, always seeing the place packed. This time, we visited at around 1.45pm on a weekday, but it was still a full house. We took a queue number, with two groups ahead of us, and waited about 30 minutes before being seated. Overall, the food is decent by Singapore café standards. Considering the quality, taste, and portion sizes, it's reasonably priced and offers good value for a café in Singapore. The desserts were nice too, especially the tiramisu. Some feedback on the food: the salmon was quite fishy (I'm a salmon lover, and I found it fishy too). The Brussels sprouts were rather oily and over-fried, with the inner layers also being fried, leaving them bitter and greasy. As for the Strawberry Pistachio Tart, the combination felt a little off. The strawberry and pistachio didn't complement or enhance each other's flavors. Instead, when eaten together, it had a strange aftertaste that reminded us of plastic or an electrical taste—we couldn't really describe it, but it felt quite off. Other than that, the overall food, dining experience, and environment were good. I would recommend visiting during the non-peak period between 3pm and 5pm. Outside of those hours, the restaurant is usually very busy.

This café is near Kovan MRT. The place has a cozy vibe and a very aesthetic interior. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating which is great for people dining with their pets. We visited on a Saturday night and were lucky enough to get a table as walk-ins. I would recommend making a reservation especially if you're dining in a group. We tried the Honey Paprika Crispy Wings which were served hot, crispy and juicy. The honey glaze was just right and didn't overpower the paprika flavor. We also ordered the Duck Leg Confit with Truffle Mash and it was so good. The duck meat was tender and the truffle mash was creamy and flavorful even for someone like me who isn't usually a fan of mashed potatoes. For dessert, we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream. Neither the cake nor the ice cream was overly sweet and they complemented each other really well. The vanilla ice cream was of excellent quality and tasted top-notch. We also tried one of their craft beers, Utropia which had a pleasant sweet aroma and taste. The staff were accommodating, and the service was fast. Although the café is on the pricier side, the taste and quality of the food make it worth the money.

Haven’t left a review for a while, but I think this place deserves a good one! I came for solo meal on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn’t busy, and I was promptly shown to a seat. The service is very friendly! I got a brunch set+ a drink. I think this salad was very well done though it was simple; probably one of the best salads I’ve had 😋 The eggs Benedict with the crab and prawn patties were also really good!! Never had something like this before. My favourite part has got to be the lemon meringue tart. It wasn’t overly sweet, and the lemon flavour was very addicting 🤤 Will definitely be back for more!

Food was absolutely Nom Nom! This is the 2nd time I’ve been to Lola’s (1st was around 3 years ago), and I’m glad to say that the quality and service is still top notch! The hojicha oat latte is a sure must get cuz it’s just that good hahahah. For the sides, Brussels sprouts were well seasoned, and chicken wings were crispy and meaty. For the mains, the pasta was al dente and flavourful, and the salmon was really nice as well. The pistachio strawberry tart was super yummy as well!!! It was quite busy when we went but the food was pumped out of the kitchen surprisingly fast, around 5-10mins after ordering, everything came. 10/10 will recommend coming back to try new things!!! Be sure to get a reservation cuz walk ins had to wait for quite awhile!

Had a truly delightful dining experience at Lola’s Restaurant @ Simon Road ❤️ From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambience and cozy atmosphere made it such a relaxing place for family gatherings and casual catch-ups. The service crew were attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcomed throughout the evening. The food was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The seafood dishes were fresh and satisfying, especially the creamy prawn and mussel combination paired with toasted bread — rich, comforting, and perfect for sharing. Their pasta dishes were equally impressive, with generous portions and bold flavours that kept everyone wanting more. Not to be missed were the desserts 🍰✨ The waffle dessert with ice cream and cheesecake bites was indulgent yet balanced, making it a sweet ending to a wonderful meal.

Visiting this cafe again after 4 years, & i think the taste & service has gone down by a mile. Although the portions were pretty big for a cafe serving, the flavours were truly… unforgettable. It was nothing special. The cream pasta was bland, tasted like those cream sauce from a can. The big breakfast was decent - but again, nothing special. I remembered they had really good coffee last time, so we got an iced flat white & iced mocha ($7/$7.50 each) and it was so… flat. Diluted. Luckin Coffee tastes better than this. The customer service? Almost non-existent. No warmth, no smile. Our appetiser (tater tots, possibly the best-tasting thing we ordered), came last, when we were almost done eating our mains. No apology from the staff, whatsoever. In fact, the staff just stretched his hand out and placed it our table with a passing remark announcing that it’s tater tots & left. Very, very disappointed. 1 pasta, 1 lola’s breakfast, 2 iced coffees, & 1 tater tots for $82. You tell me if that’s worth.

We had a reservation, so the wait was minimal—about 5 minutes at most. For dinner, we opted for the set menu, which was delicious and reasonably portioned. My only concern was the ambience. Despite being marketed as a café, the space felt quite cramped, with tables placed very close to one another. There wasn't much privacy, as conversations from neighbouring tables could be easily overheard. The seating arrangements felt less than an arm's length apart, which made the overall dining experience feel a little crowded.

The crispy wings are great need to eat while hot to be crispy, if cold, the crust is not very crispy. Rigatoni need more crab meat. Seafood stew is nice best if the prawns can be peeled althought they are fresh & if possible prawns & mussels to be in even numbers 4pcs i/o 3 so it's easier for sharing without a fight 😆
