I had high expectations after hearing so many wonderful things about Apartment Coffee and travelled about 40 minutes specifically to visit. I ordered the Brazil Santa Alina pour-over, which was described as having dried fruit, hazelnut, and sweet chocolate notes. Unfortunately, the cup I received was quite underwhelming. I found it very bland, with almost no discernible aroma, very little flavour development, and a thin body that left the cup feeling rather dilute. I travel quite a bit and always make a point of visiting local coffee shops wherever I go, so I've been fortunate to experience many excellent cafés around the world. As a coffee enthusiast, I know that one cup doesn't represent an entire café, and it's entirely possible I chose a less remarkable option on the menu. I can't speak for the other coffees on the menu. Given Apartment Coffee's reputation as one of Singapore's top coffee destinations, I do hope that every coffee on the menu can leave a lasting impression, especially for customers who make a special trip to visit. If I were rating the coffee alone, it would have been 2 stars. However, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional throughout my visit, so I feel 3 stars is a fair reflection of my overall experience.

Apartment Cafe knows how to honor the bean. Their pour-over technique is dialed in beautifully, you can taste the precision in every extraction. The mixture is well-balanced acidity up front, a clean body through the middle, and a finish that’s genuinely sensational, that lingering aftertaste tells you the roast and the brew ratio were both on point. This is clearly a spot that respects the craft, not just the caffeine. Do note: expect a 15-30 min wait and a queue, which tracks quality pour-over isn’t meant to be rushed, and it shows in the cup. Pricing is fair for the level of care going into each brew. If you’re chasing that third-wave coffee experience - sensory, deliberate, unhurried, then this might be for you!

I visited here twice. Both times I ordered their pour-over coffee and on one of my visits I also tried their hot chocolate. The pour-over was smooth and enjoyable but personally I found it a little too light and it wasn’t particularly memorable. The hot chocolate, however really stood out. It was rich, aromatic and full of chocolate flavour without being overly sweet or heavy. It was definitely my favourite. The service has been great on both visits. It’s a lovely place to unwind for a while or catch up with friends. But be prepared for a long queue during weekends.

The latte was good, but lacked a distinctive flavor (memorable quality); it was just smooth. I felt it could be stronger. The pour-over flavor was good, but very weak. It became very diluted before the ice even melted, making it difficult to savor the flavor transitions. (Upon asking, I discovered that I usually drink it much weaker than the store's version, and I don't know why it was so weak.) However, the staff were very friendly and proactive in asking about my needs; perhaps it's the service that makes the brand so well-known.

Heard about this place from quite a few people that they serve pretty good filter coffee. Ordered a white and surprised to find the taste of a filter coffee in my white. While I'm not a fan of filter coffee as I can't take the bitterness, the white allowed me to enjoy a less intense version of filter. The white had a floral scent and was not too acidic, just nice. Would definitely recommend to those trying filter coffee for the first time! Visited on a weekday afternoon around 1pm and there was no queue, though the café was a bit full. The tables started to clear by 2pm.

I’ve been here a few times already and the standard has been consistent. The menu is focused and features good selection of coffee and tea. The filter coffees are well made and have good depth of flavour; the beans option does change from time to time so you can have something different each visit. The service is exceptional - attentive, proactive and passionate about their craft, adding greatly to the overall experience. The interior is minimalist and calm, so it’s a good place to chill or even do some work. It can get crowded every now and then so do expect to wait a bit (anywhere from 5 - 30min, depending on the day) Note: the pictures are from various visits

Apartment Coffee, ranked 6th in the world's top 100 coffees and 1st in Asia, is a specialty coffee studio known for its clean, clear, lightly roasted floral and fruity espresso, a stark contrast to the traditional heavy Italian style. This time, I had the espresso, priced at SGD 5.5. ☕Espresso Flavor (Core) • Clean extraction, not heavy, and free of astringency. They roast their own single-origin beans, frequently changing batches (Peru/Colombia/Ethiopia). • Typical Flavors: Red apple, peach, light chocolate, sugarcane sweetness, bright acidity, medium body, and a clean, sweet finish. • Palate: Delicate crema, thin and smooth texture, refreshing without burnt bitterness or harshness, perfect for drinking neat. ✅Advantages • Champion-managed, extremely consistent quality control, precise parameters for every espresso, and consistent quality. • Minimalist and quiet, residential atmosphere, dine-in only, no takeout, focusing on the flavor experience. • Freshly roasted beans in small batches, highlighting floral and fruity aromas and exceptional cleanliness. • After being seated, choose your coffee from the menu and wait. To leave, simply take your bean card to the counter to pay. ⚠️Disadvantages • Long queues and limited seating on weekends. Dining time is limited to one hour; you must pay and leave when your time is up. • Primarily hand-drip coffee; limited espresso options and a fixed, rotating selection from a single origin. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Refreshing and bright floral and fruity notes, clean and smooth with a clean aftertaste. Suitable for those who prefer light roasts, pure espresso, and emphasize cleanliness and aroma; those who prefer strong, bitter flavors should choose carefully.
