Heard all about the rave and finally came to try. Walkable distance from kovan mrt but very limited parking on site. Menu boost pizza, pasta and mains. There was only 2 of us hence we didnt manage to try a lot of dishes. My barramundi with clam broth tasted great. The barramundi was grilled before putting into the delicious and flavourful clay broth. A suggestion that they should give me a empty plate or bucket to put clay shell. They have set dinner which is worthy. With selected mains and top up, you can get a starter and appetiser. The fried chicken wings were well marinated, flavourful down to the meat. The truffle fries was nice. Price reasonable. I need to come back again to try more dishes. Reservation recommended. Quite packed on a friday.

Food was decent with generous portions. The chicken from the giant chicken schnitzel was huge, and was well seasoned. Coffee was good as well. Only negative point was their last order time. Previously when we came, they turned us away at 9:20pm even though they said their last order was 9:30pm and their closing time was 10:30pm. So make sure to come by 9pm latest if you want to make it in time for the last order.

The experience was quite mixed. Service was substandard . I had requested for my coffee to be served later, but it came almost immediately. When I asked for water, the server pointed me to the counter and said it was self-service since it’s free. Yet, a service charge is still applied at the end of the meal, which feels inconsistent, especially when staff were mostly standing around. The environment was also surprisingly loud, even though the cafe was not full, which made it less comfortable to sit and enjoy the meal. We ordered the seafood stew, which was overly salty and quite hard to enjoy. Also worth noting, the one-for-one promotion only applies if you order a drink, which is not clearly highlighted upfront.. Overall, not a terrible place, but the service and overall experience need improvement to justify the pricing.

Yummy pasta dishes with great starters and sides (salad, truffles fries and tater tots). Set dinner also comes with desserts (tiramisu & brownie with ice cream). Well affordable and would definitely come back to try other dishes!

I frequent here for tea and really like the atmosphere and exceptional service. Staff are always approachable and helpful. The place is always neat and clean. Their tea set is great too!

A cosy brunch at Alkove Bistro with my hubby—simple, relaxed, and satisfying. The wild mushroom linguine is my go-to: creamy, rich, and packed with deep earthy flavours. The truffle fries are a must—crispy, fluffy, and irresistibly aromatic. The Giant Chicken Schnitzel was equally impressive—golden, tender, and perfectly paired with fragrant garlic butter rice. A French fusion concept by bringing refined touches to comforting, flavourful dishes.

Food was good. 👍🏻 eat half way than remember to take photo. 😓

Food was better than what I expected! There was a one for one deal during lunch with an order of a drink. We ordered a seafood stew and squid ink pasta! Both were really delicious! Worth a try!
