popped in to wait as i had to fetch my parents from an event nearby. matcha looked professional, it was great! however, for those looking to work or read, look elsewhere. your mobile data inside the cafe will be very patchy and slow (as confirmed by other reviews) and they do not provide wifi. there’s also a lot of “echo” with the sound bouncing around due to the way the place is designed. to access the bathroom, you need to climb a set of stairs so it might not be very accessible to old folks or those in wheelchairs i think i’ll explore other cafes nearby instead if i’m in the area.

Satisfactory brunch at Oaks Coffee Co. The Kombu Buttered Salmon with Linguine was excellent, although the salmon was very over cooked. The sauce was very addictive. I loved the barista creation: Cafe Cot Dua. Tastes like Vietnamese Coffee and the thick coconut cream above was super tasty. Together, it creates the perfect taste :-) The shirakashi honestly just tasted like regular matcha, but it was nice. The Creamy Chicken Stew was a bit too salty, chicken was over cooked and after awhile, got quite gelak. I’m not sure if I would come back again just because the environment is quite cramped and stuffy. If I was going alone, it’s okay, but with a friend I would find it difficult to talk.

Pulled pork toastie was yumz 😋 ends may be abit tough but it was good salmon pasta may be abit gelak tom yum pasta was creamy and had bit of spice to it matcha was thick and good, ordered less sweet and it came just nicely done. service though was REALLY good! especially the female server who gave off really kind vibes, she smiled and served everyone really nicely 👍🏻 may be abit loud to hold a convo on a fri lunch crowd but overall enjoyed my lunch here

Had a lovely meal at Oaks Coffee Co. We ordered the Carbonara and Chicken Stew, along with a Lychee & Rose drink and an Akagashi Matcha Latte. The Chicken Stew was slightly salty for my liking, but it was very flavourful and came with a generous portion of crispy yet juicy grilled chicken bites, potatoes, and carrots, served with two slices of toasted sourdough. The Carbonara portion was also substantial, with plenty of bacon and mushrooms throughout. For those ordering matcha with savoury food, I would recommend the Akagashi Matcha Latte. I found it paired better with the meal compared to the other matcha option, which was more bitter and nutty. Service was excellent. We were initially seated outdoors, but when it started to drizzle, the staff thoughtfully offered to move us indoors. It was a small gesture that made a big difference. The restroom was clean and spacious, though there is only one cubicle located on the upper deck. Do note that wheelchair users may find access challenging as there are about 4–5 steps leading up. Overall, good food, generous portions, attentive service, and a comfortable dining experience. Would be happy to return.

Really good service standard. Was checking with the waitress if there’s any raw/undercooked ingredients in my pasta, as I’m unable to eat anything raw/undercooked. She was able to offer a clear response even without checking with the chef, which shows how well she understands the menu. This is unlike most of the cafes I’ve been to, where the waiter/waitress have no idea / are unsure what’s in the food. Also, when i requested for more ice in my strawberry matcha latte, she asked if it was too sweet so she could add more milk for me. Which i think is really going the extra mile to understand ur customer’s preferences, that not many other cafes do.

It’s been a while since I last visited Oaks, and I came back today because I remembered my previous experience being memorable, from the matcha to the service. This time felt very different. I understand weekends can get busy and the staff might be stretched, but the overall atmosphere just felt unfriendly. It wasn’t just one interaction, it felt quite consistent across the board, with staff generally coming across quite cold and disengaged. The waiter placed the receipt on the table without any acknowledgment, and the cashier interaction felt rushed, like it was just about getting the payment done. The matcha was also quite underwhelming compared to before. Overall, it didn’t feel like a welcoming space, and I found myself wanting to leave pretty quickly, which was quite disappointing given how much I enjoyed my last visit.
