The $7 houjicha tasted very very bad to be honest, the most awful houjicha i ever had in my life, can the owner / barista try once to know how this tastes like and improve please?

Was invited for a meal for a private event from my FA yesterday and was very pleased with the service and food standard rendered to me! My guest and I ordered the following: • Miso butter crab linguine • Seafood laksa pasta • Mentaiko tater tots • Iced matcha strawberry cloud latte • Lychee flora fresca • Ondeh ondeh cake • Chicken skin (original) First of all, I have to say the beverage is surprisingly the best in our opinion and i’ve never had a beverage so yummy and I wanted a second glass lol. Absolutely loved the crab linguine! Full of crab meat and great miso base love love love! My guest’s seafood pasta was feedback to be a lil salty but overall tasty! Mentaiko tater tots EXTREMELY CRISPY! 10/10 would order again for sharing. 🥔 Ondeh Ondeh cake was too sweet for my liking but crispy chicken skin very very good! 👍🏻 Nice and calm atmosphere, polite and helpful staff! Easily accessible by Exit 4 of Upper Thomson MRT station, walk straight all the way until the end of the road you’ll find TomoCafe 😍

my first time experience was alright, not fantastic. staff were okay, not smiley but also not unfriendly. when food was served, we said thank you but staff was just :| no smile, no response.. we order the wagyu don and it was nice. we also ordered Chuffle which i think it's Churro-waffle. photos ARE really for illustration purposes only as we thought they will look exactly in the menu, topped with fine sugar and cinnamon drizzle. it came like a normal waffle, dried and only dusted with a bit of slightly coarser sugar and some cinnamon powder. pretty unappetising. at least drinks were not disappointing. i like them. so 2 stars lost for staff appearance/presentation and the Chuffle. Will we come back? maybe? but wont go for the Chuffle. it really doesn't worth the calories.

I am typically mindful of the challenges of F&B in Singapore and treat reviews as exponentially difficult to get lower once I hit 3. But my experience here seemed to reflect a lack of effort and service quality. 1. Friend ordered the Wagyu Hamburg Don (~$20 before GST/service charge) -- remarked that the patty was sour. That is perplexing, you can say a patty is overcooked, undercooked, too salty, too bland. But I reckon sour is never a word you want to hear regarding a beef patty. 2. I bought the Wagyu Ragu ($21 bef. gst and service charge) (pictured) - I am pretty sure there was less than 50 grams of meat in it. In case you are wondering, what i mean is that there was a cumulative half a spoon to 1 spoon of meat in the entire plate. And only one piece was an identifiable whole, half bite, the rest being scraps. I understand the rental market is tough but I think at that portion of meat, it is low-key disingenuous to refer to it wagyu ragu. The pasta was alright though. 3. Added on the smoked salmon (pictured). Thay portion cost $4. But I understand the rental market is tough and one cannot be certain how much of their margin is being skimmed by the landlord and, to be fair, it is a smoked salmon portion. 4. The fresh cutlery on the table was very clearly stained... I mean, food taste is subjective, but this reflects a lack of standards. P.S., at the pace the food came out of the kitchen, I am led to wonder if it was pre-prepared and microwaved. HAVING SAID THAT(!) - the pasta was not bad, despite the meat portion. I would be glad to revise my review if the establishment either renames the Wagyu Ragu or explains that the meat portion in the order was an unfortunate luck of the [ladle/scoop] draw [from the pot] and shows a picture of their usual portion size. To add on more fair comments, the staff were apologetic about the cutlery. And the kinako cloud latte ($8 bef. gst and service charge) was pleasant. I understand F&B is a really ruthless business, but hope they understand where I am coming from and use this for the better. Will be happy to revise the review if the establishment finds themselves adequately concerned and actionably invested about this.

30rh Aug 2026 - been awhile since we had brunch in cafe as it's always so expensive. not to say that it's cheap here, it's expensive as well. the food are one of the better ones that we had. the speciality coffee is good too just have to drink fast or remove the ice coz once diluted, it's nothing special anymore. good to have brunch once a while to enjoy.. not something can be afforded frequently.

Came here for their value-for-money set lunch today, only to realise it’s not available on public holidays 😅 Nevertheless, we stayed and went for our favourite, the iced Goma Cloud Latte and ToMo Breakfast mains. A cosy, minimalist café with a relaxed atmosphere and a menu that blends Japanese-inspired flavours with familiar café favourites. The food was enjoyable, but the drinks were definitely the highlight, creative and beautifully presented. A pleasant find in Upper Thomson and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I wasn’t in the mood of sweet drink so I was a little hesitant about the “drink of the moment” Blueberry matcha cloud. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t too sweet the blueberry taste is faint and went very well with matcha! The cream black coffee was superb. Tinge of sea salt and the cream really highlighted the coffee aroma. Long queue formed after noon. Seems like food is popular here will definitely give it a try next time
