Soup Restaurant 三盅两件 - The Star Vista

We visited to take advantage of the 20% weekday early bird discount. The Samsui Chicken and stir-fried sambal sweet potato leaves were the highlights of our meal—both were delicious. However, we all agreed that the other dishes left room for improvement. The service was attentive and prompt. The only downside was that the seating felt rather narrow and cramped, making it slightly less comfortable.

Loved my visit to Soup Restaurant at The Star Vista! Yuki, our waiter, was friendly, funny, and kept us smiling throughout the meal. The service was excellent and made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend ordering the Samsui Ginger Chicken — it was incredibly moist, flavourful, and so delicious that the two of us practically finished a large serving on our own! Great food, great service, and a wonderful dining experience overall. We’ll definitely be back again!

The service at Soup Restaurant Star Vista was excellent—staff were attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience very pleasant. The staff demonstrated great professionalism and care, ensuring everything was well taken care of. It made a big difference to our experience. Service was efficient and delivered with a smile. The team went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. A big thank you to the staff especially Wu Kunli who keep checking on us and making sure we have whatever we need. Yuki Lew, Lee Yoke Chu and a guy staff are excellent for their attentive service and positive attitude—it truly enhanced our visit.

Exceptional service that truly sets them apart! What impressed me most during my visit was the attentiveness of the senior staff (PohLi). Without me saying a word, she noticed that the fried rice served at my table didn't meet the restaurant's standard and immediately had it replaced, no hesitation, no prompting needed. That level of keen attention to detail and commitment to quality is incredibly rare and left a lasting impression on me. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and always on the ball. You could tell that excellent service isn't just a policy here, it's part of the culture. Every staff member made me feel genuinely valued as a customer. Keep up the fantastic work, team! Food here is decent and comforting, though overall the food was quite average for us. Service was generally polite, but there was a small communication gap that affected our experience. When we asked the staff about the set meal and the portion of chicken, our questions were answered, but it was not highlighted that the chicken was not included in the set for two persons. We only realised this after the set arrived without any chicken, and we then had to order an additional portion separately. I’m not sure if it was a lack of attention or simply answering without clarifying the details, but clearer explanation upfront would have helped manage expectations better. That said, the environment was comfortable and the staff remained courteous throughout. With more attentive communication, this place could offer a better overall dining experience. Been to soup restaurant multiple times, but first at this outlet. The quality of food is similar to the other outlet, good in general. There’s always some sort of promotion, last time it was $34 off, and this time it is $5 for select dishes. The only issue with this chain was that they don’t provide dry tissue, so it made eating the Samsui chicken wrap a little annoying. Imagine having to wrap the chicken and lettuce with your hands, then get a bit of sauce here and there and nothing to wipe away with, for that 1 star down.

I like this Soup Restaurant very much. As I am into history of our past ancestors, I admire the story of samsui women. To step into this restaurant is really a happy time for me. I like the ambience. The simple red cushion with light brown wood furnitures and pink rose lotus flower lanterns of modern look. Whether you eat alone or with friends, you will feel comfortable. I like the chicken with garlic eat with cabbage. Healthy. Can skip rice. The tofu is also soothing to the throat, and the black chicken soup is good for health. I enjoyed for the second time with brocoli vegetables n prawns, and don't forget to try the red bean paste soup. It is homemade, so need to wait for the chef to cook upon order. The special desert for this outlet is the coconut pudding. The chef made it well. Thank you chefs. The food is light and good balance of protein. The desert is awesome. The service staff is friendly also. This outlet is a good place for a good meal.

I had the steamed rice with chicken and mushroom and the double-boiled waisan & ginseng roots with chicken soup. Both were warm and tasted good. There was a lot of chicken in the soup, and even though it was a bit dry, it still tasted good. It was a great deal since both dishes were only $13.90 as part of the individual weekly lunch set. The staff was super polite!
