Tasty food, well done with fresh ingredients.. but what makes it Michelin starred? Serving size is fair but the presentation can be better? The mapo tofu has a kick to it but it’s too salty for my liking, the sweet and sour soup and the crab roe noodle was more of a comfort food kinda dish. We also had the pork belly dish, very Chinese style and has a wok hey to it… not bad. Service was good, food didn’t take too long to be prepared. Paid $62 for 2 pax.

This is such an underwhelming overpriced experience. It’s my first time trying Chen’s at Star Vista. So much rave about being “Michelin” yet this is how the food looks like vs what’s pictured on their ordering page. I ordered the Beef with Ramen that is supposedly a Star Vista exclusive and the photos speak for itself how underwhelming it is. The “onsen egg” was so broken that we had to ask for a replacement. We paid $40 for this (inclusive of a set meal) and it’s so overpriced for such poor quality food. Will never try this brand again. Also, the service staff keeps trying to clear our plates when we’re not even done.

Had lunch here and ordered the following: 1. Crab Roe Ramen 2. Dan Dan Mien 3. Mala Aburi Chashu with Egg Garlic Chahan We upgraded our main dish to a set by paying $5 more for a side dish and a drink. It’s very worth it and we get to try the sides mapo tofu and Szechwan Popcorn Chicken. The food and drinks here were delicious except I find the tofu will go better with rice and the popcorn chicken will be better with less flour and more meat. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch.

My brother recommended I eat here. I was impressed by the Mapo Tofu, it's delicious, fragrant and tasty. Be warned that level 3 is pretty spicy, but for me, it's super manageable. It's ramen braised pork with peanut is actually the one dragging down the rating a bit, nothing special about it, but the staff was friendly and helpful, and can do QR order. Recommended to get the Mapo Tofu.

Came across this place just walking around Star Vista and was pleasantly surprised!! Ordered the tofu with century egg, half half set with noodles and mapo tofu and fried rice. All were delicious, highly recommended and will be coming back soon!

The Mala Tofu Rice here is really good and has become my go to spot whenever I’m craving it. The tofu is silky, flavourful, and pairs perfectly with the rich, aromatic mala sauce. It’s the kind of comfort food that keeps me coming back. One thing to note is that the spice level can be quite intense. I usually enjoy spicy food, but even Level 2 was a little too spicy for me. Those with a higher spice tolerance will probably enjoy it much more. I also tried the fried chicken side dish, which was decent but slightly oily for my liking. Next time, I’ll probably stick to the Mala Tofu Rice on its own, as that’s definitely the highlight of the meal.

AVOID!! Food is delicious but gave me severe bloating and diarrhoea after meal. I have ordered the tofu as well but did not take the photo. It was spicey and punishing with lack of taste. No meat barely any pork and $$$. Good profit. Service is great, but are you not come to this place ever in nor will I recommend please do anyone?
