Neptune Hong Kong Dim Sum

My go to place for quick & nice dim sum breakfast in Marine Parade. My favourites are: super smooth porridge, yummy jelly crystal veg dim sum, and flavourful steamed pork ribs. I swear their porridge and pork ribs are amongst the best you can find. Pork ribs are so tender and soaked in deep flavours, making it sooo satisfying to bite. Just that it could be too fatty sometimes - so good to go with porridge. Other items are also good too, their prawn chee cheong fun is decent, though quite pricey. The auntie owner is very nice and remembers my frequent order (after 3 years?), I'm very touched 🥹 .

Ordered the shrimp chee cheong fun and the steamed pork ribs. The ribs were tender and well marinated with sesame oil and black beans. But the chee cheong fun was slightly disappointing cos the skin wasn't as thin as other places. Wasn't really complaining as I wanted more carbo in the meal. The slightly grumpy aunty seem to know many of her regulars as some just drop by to chit chat in Cantonese even if they didn't order anything. A bit pricey compared to other hawker food but cheaper than going to a proper dim sum restaurant.

Yall just have to TRUST ME when I say this is the BEST HK-style porridge okay. It’s so good, the crispy stuff on top is so addictive, and the porridge was so sticky and creamy (in the best way possible), oh my dayssssss PLEASE JUST TRY IT FOR YOURSELF it’s SO GOOD. The har gow prawn is also so fat, plump and juicy!!!! With the perfect amount of wrapper. I love this place!!!!!

The Hong Kong boss spoke fluent and standard Cantonese, which made me feel very welcome.

My constant comfort food. Tirelessly working early mornings to serve the breakfast crowd, with nice homely dim sum for the Eastsiders at Marine Parade. The century egg porridge with the crispy crackers are my favourite, completed with my usual chee cheong fun char siew or chicken feet, depending my mood. I love this place so much.

This HK dim sum stall has been around for more than 10 years, and it's easy to see why they've stood the test of time. The quality has remained consistent, and the food is always satisfying. The chicken feet are a must-order — tender, flavourful, and well-braised with a rich savoury sauce that goes perfectly with the dim sum. Another standout is the deep-fried Hakka yong tau foo. Crispy on the outside, packed with flavour on the inside, and not greasy at all. Great value, comforting food, and a taste that keeps customers coming back year after year. Definitely one of those hidden hawker gems worth supporting!
