Lao Huo Tang - Sun Plaza

The service here are getting worst, 25th August 2025 @time6.40pm. Only have 6 table occupied and i ask for order, but the people there didny attend to me and keep walking away and serve order people that just ask her for refilling water. I ate here plenty of time already, and today is the worst customer service from Sunplaza outlet.

This restaurant make very tasty soup. But if you sit inside and look up … the ceiling looks like it was never cleaned. Wonder how clean the kitchen is ?

I ordered two soups yesterday , one ABC soup and one snow pear soup, plus some other food. I spent nearly 50 dollars on these takeaways. However, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, especially the snow pear soup. 100 percent of the spareribs in the pear soup were extremely hard. I couldn't chew them at all. This is totally unacceptable. I don't think this is the quality that a soup shop like Lao Huo Tang should provide. I will never order takeaway from your store again.

Was at the outlet on a sunday, we were given a seat right at the door and there was barely any air-conditioning and it was hot (but could be mall's problem). We ordered bak kwa fried rice, fried chicken cutlet, salted veg duck soup and a brinjal dish. There was quite a long wait and in between, we saw many delivery orders coming out of the kitchen while 4-5 tables in the restaurant were still waiting for food. About 30 mins later, most of our dishes came except for the fried rice. We let our toddler started eating first while husband and I were waiting for the fried rice before we start. (Which makes sense, how to start eating without rice??) We kept looking towards the servers and after going up to ask one of them, the server said they are frying it now. So it was exactly 50 MINUTES from ordering to getting our fried rice. Most of the items already turned cold and also no apology were given nor compensation. It was also infuriating to see most of the tables that came in after us already left. It was a really terrible experience. It's the first time we ate here and will be the last time. We had dined at other outlets before and none gave bad experience like this. Food also looked unappetizing - salted veg duck soup was so salty with a ton of salted veg in the bowl, chicken cutlet was salty and oily and only warm when it came out, bak kwa fried rice had barely any bak kwa and all cut into smaller than minced meat. Forgetting our order with no empathy to overly accepting delivery orders instead of prioritising existing customers in front of them. Beware if you were to visit here.

The restaurant needs to revamp their chairs. Most of them are taped up, to hide all the tears. What’s disturbing is, one of the lady staff, without a mask, kept touching and rubbing her nose and then handling food. Food service was also slow despite only 4 tables of diners. I don’t think I will visit again.

Good service served by your male staff , and I expect he is a supervisor due to his special uniform. He provided me with a portable fan automatically when he realised I was very uncomfortable with the warm environment. Definitely will come back again

Used to enjoy most of their soup dishes, was disappointed tonight. Not sure if standard dropped or because I went near closing time. Ordered a herbal ginseng chicken, it came with some wolf berries a small drumstick & a piece of ginseng. Hope they improve..

Very bad taste, the pork has nasty pig smell,never use water to boil off the blood water ,will not come again!!!!! The rice is hard. The boss nv take into serious look at the food
