Passed by this shop and wanted to try their 木桶饭. I dabao the 西红柿鸡蛋木桶饭, it’s basically just tomato egg and potato shreds on white rice, nothing fancy, taste wise abit salty, freshly cooked, cost $9.5 + dabao fee ($0.3++). Interesting thing is how their system works. The price is stated as $9.5 on the menu inclusive of GST and SVC, but when type in the system, is $7.93 + GST and SVC, and cannot be separated. Additionally, the dabao fee is added in before everything added. This means, even if you dabao, you still need to pay SVC, and the $0.3 dabao fee is not net but also applies to GST and SVC. From what I get by paying $9.86, i will not come back again.

Place is kept clean and hygienic. Has indoor air conditioned and outdoor space. Their 串串 is good. I really love their grill mantou. Soft with little char fragrance and seasonings. Set meal my colleagues personally felt the white rice can be better. Lots of condiments but very little protein. Price wise on higher end I feel. $2 each for 2 small mantou. For grab delivery is $5.30 for sticks but they slice half (so 2 small mantou.) Local uncle quite friendly and nice. China lady kind of attitude problem. Will be questioned if you ordered two little or not allowed to order 串串stick by stick as she already closed her oven and needs to on again. This attitude can be improved.

🇸🇬 This spicy grilled fish in Tai Seng is truly amazing! Right across from Tai Seng 18, this place, 【老长沙】 (Old Changsha), I initially thought was just a Hunan restaurant, but their spicy grilled fish is incredible! Signature Grilled Fish (Spicy/Pickled Cabbage) They use basa fish and a more traditional grilling method—the whole fish is deep-fried without batter, then placed in an iron pan with broth. Basa fish itself is quite tender, and after frying, the skin is slightly golden brown, creating a crispy exterior and tender interior. We tried the normal spiciness level, and it was incredibly flavorful and spicy—absolutely satisfying! Changsha Stir-fried Pork For those who can't handle spice well, this is a safe bet; it wasn't very spicy. The pork slices are a perfect balance of lean and fat, and the wrinkled peppers are soaked in the broth, making them incredibly fragrant and oily. Minced Pork and Eggplant Casserole This eggplant casserole has a wonderful wok hei (wok aroma), and the aroma of the sauce is irresistible as soon as it arrives. The eggplant slices are incredibly tender; they look well-formed but melt in your mouth. Eggplant lovers must try this! Popular Yuzu Tea The honey yuzu tea also includes popping boba, making it sweet, refreshing, and perfect for cooling down after spicy food! They currently have several deals, so don't hesitate to take advantage of them: - Order a main course (grilled fish/stone pot fish/bullfrog) and get 4 free side dishes (show this post to enjoy this offer, but it cannot be combined with the weekend $22.8 grilled fish offer) - Grilled skewers $0.99/skewer - 4 oysters $10

Located in eastern Singapore! No matter how many times I eat here, I have to say: this restaurant is truly amazing! 👍 The stir-fries are incredibly flavorful, bursting with wok hei (the smoky aroma imparted by a hot wok), and with a chef boasting 30 years of experience, every dish is irresistibly delicious! ✅ Everything is freshly stir-fried, brimming with wok hei. ✅ Adjustable spiciness, suitable for children too. ✅ Generous portions, so order carefully! ✅ Order a main course and get 4 free side dishes – a variety of options, affordable and delicious! The Spicy Frog with Bullfrog (less spicy) has a layered flavor, and the bullfrog is incredibly tender – it's so addictive! Stir-fried pork with chili peppers, a classic but exceptionally well-made dish. The perfect balance of lean and fatty meat, with a rich but not overpowering chili aroma – absolutely perfect with rice… Dry-fried cauliflower, stir-fried until dry and flavorful, with slightly crispy edges, becoming more fragrant with each chew – one of those easily overlooked dishes… Grapefruit tea is refreshing and helps relieve the spiciness; it even has boba inside – a delightful surprise! Full of local flavor, and the prices are so reasonable – definitely worth a try! 💨 Located right outside Exit C of Tai Seng MRT station.

We ordered three dishes: Spicy Stone Pot Fish with Secret Recipe, Changsha Stir-fried Pork, and Eggplant Casserole with Minced Pork. The Spicy Stone Pot Fish with Secret Recipe was delicious! The fish was tender and flavorful, and the broth had a slight spiciness that made you want to keep drinking it. The Changsha Stir-fried Pork and Eggplant Casserole with Minced Pork were simply amazing rice bowls, perfect with rice! The Changsha Stir-fried Pork featured green peppers and stir-fried pork; the pork slices were perfectly cooked, oily and flavorful, and the green peppers were tender. The eggplant in the Eggplant Casserole with Minced Pork was soft and tender, soaked in sauce, and very tasty! We also ordered the popular Grapefruit Tea, a refreshing cup with grapefruit pulp and popping boba. The portions of each dish were quite large for us, making this meal perfect for 2-3 people!

Who knows! I found a Hunan restaurant in Singapore where you can eat your fill for just 20 RMB per person! It's the super popular old Changsha Hunan cuisine from back home! 📍Located at Exit C of Dacheng Metro Station ✴️Perilla + Bullfrog "King of Bombs"! Tender bullfrog meat paired with fragrant perilla, plus tons of green and red peppers, it's absolutely amazing! Super spicy and incredibly satisfying (the only downside is that it makes you want to eat so much rice 😭) Attention‼ ️Show this post when you enter the restaurant and order any main dish (Stone Pot Fish / Jumping Frog / Perilla Frog / Secret Recipe Grilled Fish) and receive four side dishes! 🔆Stir-fried Pork with Chili is a must-order Hunan dish. Eat it with rice—the oil, spiciness, meat, and rice are all so fragrant! I can't even imagine how crazy it is! 🔆Dry Pot Cauliflower is just a simple, home-style dish.

I discovered a super authentic Hunanese restaurant in Singapore! It's right next to Exit C of Tai Shing MRT station—super easy to find! 🐟【Secret Recipe Stone Pot Fish】(Two flavors: Spicy and Pickled Cabbage) I ordered the pickled cabbage flavor—the creamy golden broth with pickled cabbage was absolutely amazing! The owner even uses grouper 🐟. The fish is so tender it melts in your mouth, completely without any fishy taste. The tangy aroma of the pickled cabbage is perfectly infused into the broth; one sip and you'll be stomping your feet in delight! There's also a spicy option—perfect for those who love spicy food! 🌶️【Stir-fried Pork with Chili】The wok hei (wok aroma) is intoxicating! It's definitely not pre-made! The freshly stir-fried pork slices have a smoky, slightly charred flavor, the green peppers are crisp and flavorful, and the sauce coats every bite. I could easily eat three bowls of rice with this! 🥦【Organic Cauliflower】A refreshing and cooling remedy for the spiciness! The cauliflower was crisp and refreshing, with a subtle wok-fried aroma. The combination of meat and vegetables made it not greasy at all, perfectly capturing the refreshing essence of Hunan cuisine! 😱After eating, I saw they had an amazing discount! [Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it all, haha, I'll come back next time!] 🐔Sichuan-style Chicken/Scallion Oil Chicken: Original price $28, now only $14.9 after 50% off! 🦪Grilled Garlic Oysters: 4 for only $10! (Where else can you find such a great deal?) 🍢Grilled Skewers: $0.99 each! Beef/Lamb/Pork Belly/Pork Intestines are all available, original price $1.50, minimum order of four skewers! 🐟Sunday Grilled Fish: Original price $30.80, Sunday special price $22! 🍻The restaurant's decor has a warm, homey atmosphere, perfect for gatherings with friends or family meals! 📍Location: Right next to Exit C of Tai Seng MRT station in Singapore (Picture 12)

I've discovered a truly authentic Hunan restaurant in the east! Everything is stir-fried to order, with amazing wok hei (the smoky aroma imparted by a hot wok), unlike pre-cooked dishes. The stir-fried frog with perilla and chili is tender and flavorful, the stir-fried pork with chili is fragrant but not overpowering, and the dry-pot cauliflower is crisp and delicious – every dish is perfect with rice. The spiciness level is adjustable, so even those who don't eat spicy food can enjoy it. The portions are generous, and the taste is truly exceptional. It's already on my must-eat list, and I'll definitely be back again and again!
