Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine 湘香湖南菜 @ Causeway Point

Every time I passed by, I saw a queue, and I kept telling myself I had to try it sometime. This time, I finally joined the line and waited a full 40 minutes, thinking that if so many people were willing to queue, the taste must be exceptional. Unfortunately, the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment. The actual taste was really ordinary; it didn't wow me, nor did it seem worth the 40-minute wait. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this experience certainly didn't make me want to go back. I probably won't make a special trip back anytime soon, and I certainly won't queue for that long again just for the taste. I’m a frequent customer of Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine at Causeway Point and visited for dinner today, 3 September 2026, at around 6:45 p.m. I was TRULY devastated to find out that my favourite Tangy Bamboo Shoots Stir Fry had been permanently removed from the menu. I’d especially like to commend the manager, Ron, for going above and beyond. He was incredibly understanding and took the effort to find out which other outlets still serve the dish, even circling out all the outlets for me so I could visit them. Such a thoughtful gesture and excellent customer service! And to the management, PLEASE consider bringing the dish back to Causeway Point! 🙏😭 It’s genuinely my favourite dish, and I would definitely be one of the first customers to order it again. Thank you, Ron, for taking the time to help me!

Walked in for dinner and didn't have to wait — the staff were friendly and helpful. We were even treated to complimentary ice cream and chips! The Golden Broth was sour with just the right amount of spice on the fish, and the sourness was spot on. The Dual Pepper Spicy Chicken was decent too, though it would be better with a crunchier texture. The Dry Vermicelli Pot Noodle was full of flavor. My favorite? The big Iced Tea!

Date of Visit: 9 June 2026 It was my first time visiting Xiang Xiang Hunan and I must say the service was excellent. Every staff member was polite, friendly and attentive throughout our meal. As it was my birthday, they kindly provided complimentary longevity noodles, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The staff also checked in on us regularly to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction and that we were enjoying the food. Ice cream and snacks were free flow, Overall, I had a very pleasant dining experience and felt well taken care of. Great food and outstanding service. I would definitely recommend Xiang Xiang Hunan and look forward to visiting again.

An absolute go-to for Hunan cuisine in Singapore! Tried their signature Hunan-Style Fried Pork today—the Iberico pork was so tender and paired perfectly with the green peppers. The Stir-Fried Angus Beef in 18 Seconds is another must-order; the beef was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Also loved the Stir-fried Organic Cauliflower, which had a great wok-hei and crunch. The rice is so good you'll definitely ask for seconds. Great ambiance and friendly service. Highly recommended for spice lovers!

I love Xiang Xiang!! Their food is really comforting and perfect for family meals. The pricing is also quite reasonable for the quality and portions. Their beef and pork dishes are a must-order for me every single time. ❤️❤️ This time round, I also tried their tiger prawn dish. The prawns were very fresh, and the soup was really flavourful and comforting. Definitely another dish I would order again!

This place serves very good food. I ate here multiple times at different outlets and the taste is similar throughout. Very consistent for this franchise so far. The staff are very welcoming and engages very well, not too much till its uncomfortable. The location for this outlet is so-so but good for a quick hour bite but any longer will be quite uncomfortable as the aircon and the settings are not the best imo. Will definitely recommend

Absolutely loved this Hunan restaurant! 🌶️ The dishes were full of bold, authentic flavors. Every dish was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. If you enjoy rich, spicy Chinese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended — will definitely come back again!
