Greybox Coffee

ordered the greybox latte menu description says it’s heavy cream milk, black sesame cream my first sip just tasted like sugar syrup - i gagged. we checked w the staff and they said the base milk is mixed with heavy cream and sugar “like a latte” but from my understanding there’s no sugar or heavy cream in a latte?? 😭 was just expecting espresso with choice of milk - granted the cream in milk was mentioned in the menu, but never did i think extra sugar would be required or added?!!!! not what i signed up for black sesame cream tasted like nothing. no BSSM taste (nor BSSM dusting as seen in other reviews prior to mine). for 8.50++ this is ridiculous, don’t waste your money.

The combination was perfect for a relaxing breakfast. Everything looked appetising and tasted great. Such a cozy spot to enjoy good food and a nice cup of matcha. Definitely a place I’d be happy to visit again! ✨🥰

Had my first visit to Grey Box Coffee and it was a great experience. The drinks were excellent, and the cakes were absolutely delicious. What made the visit even more enjoyable was the outstanding service from Iskandar. He was professional, friendly, and very welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. His knowledge and positive attitude really stood out and added to the overall experience. The quality of both the food and service exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend Grey Box Coffee to anyone looking for great coffee, tasty desserts, and excellent customer service. Ordered pour over coffee (they had 1 option available) and was told they do not offer an iced option, although the menu showed ice drip. It was the first time I experienced a cafe not offering an iced option but I trusted that the barista had his reasons and ordered. Unfortunately, coffee was lacklustre for $8 and the firm reason to have it hot did not seem to make a difference. Could not taste any distinct notes or flavours. The barista kept pressing his fingers into the dripper to smooth out the filter paper too which seems unsanitary but maybe it’s a common practice? Would try their espresso drinks instead next time.

Tried Greybox coffee at GWS a while ago and was disappointed by the quality of the drinks. We decided to give it ago again in i12 katong today (7 sept) but the drink I received was diluted and mostly ice cubes - I kindly asked about it and the staff had it remade for me but was met with a lot of attitude. The remade drink was just chucked onto the counter by this young female staff and she walked away without saying anything. The lack of quality of service is terribly appalling. Just know we’ll never support this place again, and will never recommend anyone to grab coffee here if they’re looking for quality drinks or good service.

I was hesitant to give Greybox a try as I had never heard of this specialty coffee before. I have been to many specialty coffee places, and I’ll say that Greybox never disappoints. I tried their Signature Blend coffee, and it was amazing. I returned to Greybox for a second cup! The barista is amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable about coffee! Amazing service to both the barista! Will definitely come back!

Amazing coffee!! Barista Wan may look scary but he is a very soft and professional staff! Barista Quan served the coffee, and when I ask Barista Quan what’s the best way to drink the Greybox Latte, he told me to give the Black Sesame Cream a try first with the spoon, and mix it altogether. Amazing Barista = Amazing coffee! Will definitely come back again in the future!!!
