Got jap food from the new store beside ah tan wings. Here is a list of things that went down: 1) Got our order mixed up initially and caused some hold up 2) Waiting 20 minutes for our food (which is ok) but the store made other orders that came after ours first. When we approached the staff, we were met with the blankest stare before them uttering the words “5 more minutes” in the most monotonous tone ever. 3) When we opened the food, we realised that they served us chicken nuggets (shown in the picture). The item on the menu was called, “Salmon and chicken KARAAGE” Terrible experience.

One of the best Indian rojak that I came across over so many different places that I tried! Thumbs up! Their dough are not doughy kind, very airy, fluffy and crispy. If you are coconut lover, there is one coconut flour with peanut. As well the sauce is not on sweet side and starchy kind where most stalls are, it is a well balanced sweet and savoury. Please do support them to keep them running 😂 otherwise I'll really miss and it's so hard to find one standard like. theirs. I've been returning to their stalls as well the one on left selling roti prata is good too.

Nice to see Anchorvale Village NTUC Kopitiam adopt the QR scratch card idea from NTUC FairPrice Supermarkets. The random scratch card, on top of the app discount, adds a bit of fun to a normal meal. Even if it’s just a few cents, or sometimes nothing with a “try again tomorrow” message, it still makes me want to come back regularly. It’s a simple idea but works well. I can see many customers enjoying the scan for small savings, while stalls benefit from repeat support. Hope NTUC Kopitiam keeps this going and continues rolling out such thoughtful initiatives across more NTUC Kopitiams.

The dessert stall is selling two halved thinly sliced lemons for $0.30, for the sugar cane drink. Honestly, I can hardly taste any lemon esp when I top up for a large glass. When I asked if they could give me more, they asked me to pay another $0.30 for two more thinly sliced half lemons. I really don’t recall lemon is that expensive. Times are tough! :(

Pleasantly surprised with the $5 portion. Wet noodles packed full of seafood flavour with enough wokhei and substantial amount of prawn, squid and egg pieces. Two types of chilli given which complement the dish and each other well. This stores knows what Hokkien mee is supposed to be and executes it well.

Al-Ihshan Combo House & Mutton Soup NEVER EVER gonna patronise this shop anymore, NOBODY should patronise this shop at all as well! Today, I witness an incident where the shopkeeper charged out of his shop while shouting at a customer " YOU GOT ASK A NOT? YOU GOT ASK A NOT? " Context of what happened was, the customer found out he was charged extra, so he asked the shopkeeper why is it $6 when the signboard put $5.50? Instead of explaining why, the shopkeeper just shouted "campur (mix) is like that one" So the customer said "bro, campur add $0.50 must let customer know mah". That's when the incident happened, we all saw, many people saw, the shopkeeper started shouting the "YOU GOT ASK A NOT YOU GOT ASK A NOT" while rushing out from the kitchen and pointing straight to the customer face, looking like he wants to challenge for a fight?? NEVER SUPPORT THIS SHOP ANYMORE! Manager of anchorvale village hawker was on site as well, you all can ask around, I bet the stores beside all witness this incident as well! What kind of service and attitude is this? I don't understand

Bought the curry omu rice with salmon from the Japanese stall. I did not expect the fish to be so thinly cut, it looks deceiving when you look at it front the top. Mind as well just give me only the skin with how pathetic the salmon is given. If you're going to be stingy with the portion, then don't advertise as a salmon dish at all. Overall food is decent, just avoid buying their salmon dishes..
