One Punggol Hawker Centre

I've been drinking iced tea for so many years, and only today than I realize that "slightly sweet" (siew siew dai) ice milk tea are actually such a complex beverage! This morning, I ordered this drink at the beverage stand, and the person who took my order wanted to use the pre-brewed milk tea. I told him I wanted it freshly brewed, because the pre-brewed one was very sweet. Then the problem arose the aunty who brewing the tea, said, "I don't know how to brew 'slightly sweet'!" Why is it every time I've come here ,and ordered this iced milk tea drink, no one has ever told me they don't know how to brew it, and it's not even a complicated drink? Then she gave me some nonsense I didn't understand, and made me a iceed milk tea that was really not sweet and quite bitter. Even in other places, I've ordered this "slightly sweet" drink many times, and no one has ever told me there was a problem. If she don't know how to do it , than should learn instead of pretending to be all experienced!

A nostalgic feeling seeing Kaya butter soda biscuits, reminding of childhood memories. Egg was large sized and perfectly boiled. Teh C was excellent with good balance and flavor. Generally pricing within this hawker centre tends to be on the higher side which is surprising given it is a community hawker center.

Had a pleasant experience at One Punggol Hawker Centre. The space is one of the more modern and comfortable hawker centres in Singapore, with high ceilings, plenty of seating and a bright, airy layout that makes dining here enjoyable even during peak hours. With over 30 stalls offering a good mix of local favourites and international options, there is usually something for everyone. The biggest strength is the overall environment. It feels clean, spacious and family friendly, and being part of the larger One Punggol community hub means you can easily combine a meal with a visit to the library or nearby facilities. Overall, a comfortable and modern hawker centre with a good variety of food choices. Not every stall is a hit, but the pleasant dining environment and wide selection make it worth visiting if you’re in the Punggol area.

This young lady does an excellent job of keeping the tables clean. She is very hardworking and makes sure to clean every table she sees. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hawker centre have improved significantly. As for the food, it is quite subjective—some dishes are really good, while others may not suit everyone’s taste.

Very spacious and airy place! Relatively clean as well. Drinks stall: second time here and the coffee is still as bad - so sour?? even an elderly also complained about the taste. Hakka Leipopo: came here specially for the thunder rice tea today. checked with them and was told they open at 0930hrs but the shuttle was still closed when we arrived on the dot. still no sign of opening after a few minutes even though they replied on FB that they were ready. ordered the thunder rice tea without rice (board stated $5, +$0.50 for brown rice and without rice) but cashier told me there was a price increase so it was $5.80. perhaps they should update their board to prevent misunderstanding. portion came relatively ok for without rice, but elderly commented that the one at OTH tasted better. the young man also asked if i was the one who asked about their operating hours (he’s likely not the one who replied me), not sure if he was unhappy or just my misunderstanding. UPDATE: owner clarified that price increase is still pending and there was a miscommunication with the management as she wasnt informed about the changes. good service recovery! Chwee Kueh: Relatively cheaper than other places. The young lady has a very nice attitude! Botak porridge: My go-to order. Standards are almost always the same although sometimes it was different people behind the stove. They were flooded with orders this morning but the young lady taking orders was patient and has a very nice attitude as well. When i asked for a spoon for my takeaway order, she even applogised for missing it out. :)

New owner took over in aug 26, tea like a lot of coffee shops taste horrible. The old drink stall's tea is a lot better. Most other stalls are the same.

Review only for drinks stall. Only 1 drink stall in entire hawker center. The waiting time on is so long and unnecessary. It’s a huge turnoff just waiting in line esp during meal times. Spoil the dining experience. Add more drinks stall or more order points !

There's only a couple of stalls that I would go back for whenever im at this hawker centre. One of it is the steamed fish stall, the other is this mixed vegetable rice stall manned by two elderly aunties. They are closed on Saturdays and when they open, there is always a long queue for their wide variety of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. Their dishes are not only cheap but very flavourful, as most of the dishes seem to be seasoned with Maggie sauce. My favourite is their fried egg with cabbage which seems to be constantly running out, curry pork, kang kong with sweet chilli and sambal, as well as their mushrooms with 豆干.
