One Punggol Hawker Centre

Had a pleasant experience at One Punggol Hawker Centre. The space is one of the more modern and comfortable hawker centres in Singapore, with high ceilings, plenty of seating and a bright, airy layout that makes dining here enjoyable even during peak hours. With over 30 stalls offering a good mix of local favourites and international options, there is usually something for everyone. The biggest strength is the overall environment. It feels clean, spacious and family friendly, and being part of the larger One Punggol community hub means you can easily combine a meal with a visit to the library or nearby facilities. Overall, a comfortable and modern hawker centre with a good variety of food choices. Not every stall is a hit, but the pleasant dining environment and wide selection make it worth visiting if you’re in the Punggol area.

Very spacious and airy place! Relatively clean as well. Drinks stall: second time here and the coffee is still as bad - so sour?? even an elderly also complained about the taste. Hakka Leipopo: came here specially for the thunder rice tea today. checked with them and was told they open at 0930hrs but the shuttle was still closed when we arrived on the dot. still no sign of opening after a few minutes even though they replied on FB that they were ready. ordered the thunder rice tea without rice (board stated $5, +$0.50 for brown rice and without rice) but cashier told me there was a price increase so it was $5.80. perhaps they should update their board to prevent misunderstanding. portion came relatively ok for without rice, but elderly commented that the one at OTH tasted better. the young man also asked if i was the one who asked about their operating hours (he’s likely not the one who replied me), not sure if he was unhappy or just my misunderstanding. UPDATE: owner clarified that price increase is still pending and there was a miscommunication with the management as she wasnt informed about the changes. good service recovery! Chwee Kueh: Relatively cheaper than other places. The young lady has a very nice attitude! Botak porridge: My go-to order. Standards are almost always the same although sometimes it was different people behind the stove. They were flooded with orders this morning but the young lady taking orders was patient and has a very nice attitude as well. When i asked for a spoon for my takeaway order, she even applogised for missing it out. :)

There's only a couple of stalls that I would go back for whenever im at this hawker centre. One of it is the steamed fish stall, the other is this mixed vegetable rice stall manned by two elderly aunties. They are closed on Saturdays and when they open, there is always a long queue for their wide variety of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. Their dishes are not only cheap but very flavourful, as most of the dishes seem to be seasoned with Maggie sauce. My favourite is their fried egg with cabbage which seems to be constantly running out, curry pork, kang kong with sweet chilli and sambal, as well as their mushrooms with 豆干. With the timbre app, you get additional discounts.

How come this simple plate of vegetables, fish, and rice I bought from this stall costs $8.60? At a hawker center some more 😅 Got a big surprise when I was informed upon payment. I double-checked with the store owner regarding the price, and they mentioned that the fish itself is already $6!!! I hope they would advise the price for high-priced items before even plating it. Do you think it’s worth the money?? I think 菜饭店 should also indicate price tags for openness and fair pricing. The food is not fantastic, neither bad — the fish is quite dry though. 2 stars from me.

Reach there almost 8pm on a Wednesday night for dinner for end up more than half of the stores closed ( not closing or cleaning up).. Diners this timing balance about 70% of table unoccupied.. Compare to when I went to Punggol coast mall side hawker centre, fernvale hawker centre and Buangkok hawker centre even 8.10pm seat at least over 80% taken and the stores almost 90% opened or about to prepare to close during this timing.. on weekday. Or maybe the good business store closed early as run out of serving.. balance a few stores opening.. the last store at 9pm still able to place order is Botak Cantonese Porridge.. Come again early next time to try out maybe other food choices..

SINGAPORE - 26 DEC 2025: 2.20pm. One Punggol Hawker Centre is a modern hawker centre that is part of the new concept of an integrated community hub called One Punggol. Catering to Northeast Singapore residents, it has more than 30 hawker stalls, over 700 seats and automated tray return stations. I had meals at the Indian Rojak, porridge and fried fish mee sua stalls on separate days. I find that the food quality of the Indian Rojak and Fried fish mee sua variable depending on your luck. High ceiling fans and good ventilation. SHARING A PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: Canon R5, 70mm, 1/2 sec, f/16, iso 200. tripod. av mode. Focus on signboard. I used a tripod and a distance away from the entrance to get a good image in the afternoon. ------------------- 1. Fresh juice and sugarcane stall . Please serve fresh sugarcane juice not those that have been leftover in the pitcher for so long time till the colour and taste changes.

Same order as last visit (2 veg + 1 meat), but staff added extra mushroom dishes without asking, pushing the price to $6. Even after removing them, the total was still $5, which doesn’t make sense. The lady insisted it was correct. Food was overly salty, and hygiene was concerning as the staff spat saliva while talking. Disappointing experience.
