Punggol Coast Hawker Centre

Punggol Coast is an interesting destination for food hunters, especially with the opening of Punggol Coast MRT station, the final stop on the North-East Line. From the station, it was about a six-minute walk to the hawker centre, where I discovered several stalls with multiple outlets scattered across Singapore. One of them is Huay Kwang with their tasty and springy Thai wanton noodle.

Everything is great at this hawker centre — the place is spacious with an open view, and most of the food is pretty good. I especially enjoyed the Egyptian food stall, which offers restaurant-quality food at hawker centre prices. The only thing I would pick on is the vendor hired by the management. The serving spoons always seem to have a layer of grime that doesn’t wash off properly. It has been more than a year, and I really hope the cleaning and hygiene standards can be improved.

Love how spacious this hawker centre is, very easy to move around with trays of food. Big fans keep the place cool too. Visited for lunch at 1pm or later, easy to find seats; dinner at 6+pm, took a while to find seats. Tried these - Huay Kwang Thai wanton mee: quite greasy, pls don't underestimate the spice level, lowest is alrdy pretty potent You Fu ban mian & paofan: yuan yang fish paofan at $8.80 is decent, the broth is flavourful Tidjai Thai food: very huge portions for fried rice and pad thai, better for sharing Old nonya: basic laksa at $5 was lovely, great broth though a little on sweet side for me, spice level just right, fresh prawns, some interesting fried bits too One soy: pandan beancurd tang yuan with soy milk was interesting, the pandan taste was ok not overpowering

This is among the best latest built hawker centres in Singapore. High ceiling, very airy and cosy, with great facilities and good variety of food. Plus it's part of shopping mall, and easy access to mrt and bus interchange

​Let the vendor know the curry broth tastes just curry powder and watery rather than fragrant, and that the chicken prep needs cleaner cuts to avoid splintered bones and uneven pieces. @Hockhai curry chicken noodle

The fruit juice stall have worst service attitude n it's definitely over price Charging1 cup fruit juice for 1$7 Lady boss was asked by worker n told me no ice $6 n after confirming no ice ,after I paid . She demand need additional $1

Many food choices and few are quite good. It is spacious and cooling to dine here.

Disappointed with their honesty. They will always tell you they run out of minced chicken if you ordered value meal. It's a mandatory to have a value meal but keep saying you run out of ingredients? You guys should know why
