Ah Er Herbal Soup / 阿2老火湯

This stall appears to operate inconsistently & is often unresponsive. I visited on last week lunch time & again on yesterday (Monday), 26th Jan 2026 at 6:30 PM, but it was closed on both occasions, despite Google indicating it should have been open. The inaccurate operating hours reflect : 1) Lack of responsibility : Listing business hours & not honoring them shows disregard for customers’ time. 2) Poor communication : If hours change, it’s the owner’s responsibility to update Google or inform customers. 3) Low customer orientation : Being repeatedly closed during stated operating hours signals indifference toward walk-in customers. 4) Unreliability : Customers can’t plan visits when the business operates inconsistently. Overall, this experience has led me to lose trust and confidence in this Michelin-recognized stall.

Ah Er Traditional Chinese Herbal Soup — you find this gem at ABC Brickworks Food Centre one. Don’t play play, this stall got Michelin Bib Gourmand award in 2021, okay! They serve about eight types of soup, all power one. You want something legendary? Try their Buddha Jumps Over The Wall. very bu, no MSG some more! Pro tip: add the pumpkin rice for 80¢, shiok and healthy combo. Then remember to take the sauces — light soya, the thick dark soya, or my favourite chilli padi light soya. Dip your meat or flavour the rice, ho jiak liao! But ah, queue can get long one. Better go a bit before lunch or dinner peak, otherwise later sold out you regret. Must-try lah, really worth the trip!!

Queue formed b4 12noon so I went to order as well. Fast moving and I ordered Buddha jump over the wall for $7. Godly Sweetness of abalone... Or was it bamboo shoot. Regardless it is damn naturally sweet. Not sure it is the best but it is certainly godly things u don't see is the dry scallops. Pros Chicken. Probably the most tender over cooked? Chicken. Although it might because I gotten the tight. Regardless with infused soup it was awesome. Fish maw. All soaked up with the flavorful broth. Mushroom. Surprisingly not tough. Anw dip in chili light soya for some kick but not exact necessary. Although I do find it a good option for added dimensions. Con. Abalone is chewy. But the taste more than made up for it.

Very irresponsible stall. Closed for many days. Cant even be bothered to put up a sign to tell customers when is their period of closure
