Three Nuts Baker is a cosy hole in the wall bakery with an impressive lineup of artisanal bakes, quality coffee, and genuinely warm service. The space is mostly geared towards takeaway, with just 3 counter seats indoors and a table for 2 outside. Still, the minimalist white interior, wooden accents, and relaxed atmosphere make it a lovely spot to enjoy a quick coffee and pastry. Honestly, if you’re anywhere near Upper Serangoon, I highly recommend making a trip here. It’s absolutely worth the travel! The star of the visit was undoubtedly the Gooey Cinnamon Roll ($6). Served warm, the soft and fluffy dough was layered with a fragrant cinnamon filling and finished with a sticky brown sugar caramel glaze instead of the usual overly sweet frosting. What truly elevated it were the generous toasted pecans scattered on top. Their nutty crunch paired beautifully with the pillowy bun, creating an incredibly satisfying texture in every bite. The sweetness level was just right, allowing the buttery dough and cinnamon flavours to shine. The Échiré Butter Salt Bun ($5) was another standout. Made with the famous French Échiré butter, the bun had a beautifully crisp bottom, soft chewy exterior, and an incredibly airy interior. Fragrant, buttery, and lightly salted, it delivered all the comfort of a good shio pan without feeling greasy or heavy. Really amazing texture! The Black Sesame Latte ($9) was wonderfully aromatic, full of the natural earthy nuttiness of black sesame. It is a light and comforting drink with nutty and toasty notes. The Brown Butter Cookie 85% Cacao ($6) was a treat for dark chocolate lovers. Thick and chewy, it featured generous chunks of rich 85% cacao chocolate that offered a pleasant bitterness against the sweet, nutty, caramelised notes of brown butter. Decadent without being overly sweet. I also grabbed the Choc Chip Walnut Levain Cookie ($7) for takeaway. This was an absolute beast of a cookie! It is thick, chunky, and loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts. Every bite was packed with gooey chocolate and crunchy nuts, making it feel wonderfully indulgent. What impressed me most was how consistently well executed everything was. From the pastries to the drinks, every item felt thoughtfully crafted. The staff were incredibly friendly too, patiently helping customers despite the steady crowd. Three Nuts Baker feels like one of those hidden gems that you’ll want to keep to yourself, but it’s simply too good not to share. I’m already planning my next visit to work my way through more of their bakes and sandwiches. If you’re a fan of artisanal pastries, quality coffee, and cosy neighbourhood gems, put this one on your list immediately!

Came for brunch but the 3 indooe seats were taken so got takeaway and reheated them at home. Pork sausage hit the palate quite strongly. The pastry was flaky and soft, meat well seasoned and moist. Cheddar scone was soft inside with a slight crust outside, held the form well and didn't crumble easily when eating. Also could taste cheese in every bite. Blueberry Bagel has a nice crust and fluffy interior, paired really well with the cheese. Blueberries jam was too sweet for my liking. Would prefer a little tartness from the berries. Overall happy with the food. $22 for 3 items. Salt bun and cinnamon roll are only available after 11.30am or later. Will try them next time when I'm in the area.

Pretty cozy bakery in the hood of Kovan, was pretty packed around 12.30pm on a Sunday. Mainly for takeaway as the space is quite small with some seats near the window. Managed to get the freshly baked cinnamon roll (hope to see plains/non-nuts option in the future😋) which was really flavorful and was quite a big piece. Tried the Echire Butter Salt Bun and I thought it was really well baked, not too oily and the inner bread was so soft yet the bottom crust was still crispy when I got home. Matcha latte was on the pricey side but a good drink on a super hot day, would come back to try the honey butter salt bagel and other bakes 😬

I haven’t been back for a few years since the first time they opened, and I must say I’m so amazed by their wide selection of baked goods that seem value for money from their portion sizes. I bought their plain scone set today which came with a massive scone, jam and clotted cream ($7 altogether). The scone was super light and fluffy, it went so well with the condiments. And on that note, it’s very rare for a Singaporean bakery to serve clotted cream and to also charge it for quite little. I also bought an iced latte which came in a tall glass. This innocent breakfast turned out so filling, but I’m not complaining. I’m excited to come back for more! On the last note, the owners were also friendly and allowed my friend and I to use our laptops in the cafe.

Repeat customers of their fudge cake and cinnamon rolls (mostly via delivery). The cinnamon rolls are top notch - one of the best I've had in Singapore. The 55% choc fudge cake (ordered via ig) was very well received by my family. First time visiting the outlet in person, but have to say I'm disappointed in the service. It wasn't crowded but the staff looked like she wasn't ready to serve. The monotonous greeting and reluctance to answer questions was not something I was looking forward to for after traveling an hour to get here. It's a small business that I've always supported and will continue to support but after this encounter, I'll probably just stick to delivery instead.

If you’re a fan of artisanal pastries, this is your new mecca. I had the Echire butter salt bun, and the texture was incredible. Pairing it with their locally sourced coffee was a game changer—you can really taste the quality and the freshness of the roast. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the drink so consistently. My wife’s favourite is the gooey cinnamon rolls with loads of pecan.

I've tried most of the items here, including their popular cinnamon rolls. That was my mum's favourite, my favourite would have to be the savoury sausage roll. The drinks were always meticulously prepared and tasted delicious. Place is tiny, but cosy.

Went at around 3pm on a weekday and manage to snag the last 2 cinnamon rolls. Love the sugar coated pecans that they generously topped the cinnamon roll with! The cheddar scone was also really crumbly and tasty, not overly buttery. Found the echire salt bread to be alright, not exceptional but still tasty. Service was really nice, they held on to my takeaway order as I was dining in and I retrieved my bakes from them when I was ready to leave.
