I’ve been coming here for their signature Koka noodles for quite some time, and I have to admit that the food quality has remained consistently good. The noodles are still as comforting and satisfying as ever, which is why many customers, including myself, keep returning. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the service. It feels like business has become so good that customer service is no longer a priority. Depending on who takes your order, the experience can be vastly different. Some staff are polite, while others come across with a “if you want to eat, then wait; if not, don’t come” attitude, which can be quite off-putting. On top of that, the waiting time is typically around 30+ minutes or longer depending on peak periods. If you are in a rush and can’t wait don’t bother there are other options nearby. If you’re visiting, be prepared to overlook the service and wait patiently because the Koka noodles are still worth trying. Good food alone isn’t always enough to keep customers coming back.

If you are looking for a satisfying, hearty bowl of instant noodles leveled up with fresh ingredients, Uncle KKM (Hai Xian Zhu Zhou) is a solid choice. The signboard shown displays a massive variety of comforting bowls, ranging from seafood to minced pork noodles and porridge. Here is what we tried: The Dishes The Original Comfort Bowl: For those who prefer something clean and soul-warming, this clear broth option hits the spot. The soup base is flavorful without being overly salty, packed generously with fresh leafy greens, a perfectly cooked egg, and tender, well-marinated chunks of minced meat. It’s exactly what you want on a rainy day or when you need a comforting meal. The Spicy Kick : If you love a fiery twist, the spicy version is a must-try. The broth is rich, robust, and carries a beautiful chili oil sheen that packs a serious punch. It coats the curly instant noodles perfectly, and the generous portions of pork clusters and greens help balance out the intense heat. It’s incredibly satisfying for spice lovers. Verdict Uncle KKM takes the humble instant noodle and turns it into a premium, comforting hawker treat. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the execution is spot on. Whether you go for the soothing clear broth or the spicy option, you won't leave disappointed!

The ultimate late-night comfort food. After two weeks overseas surviving on Western food, I came home craving local flavors. This was the exact place that came to mind to cure my jet lag. Having lived in Bukit Panjang for over 30 years, this bowl of Ke Kou Mian (KKM) is pure nostalgia for me. The uncle is still going strong, though he’s now passing the reins to the second generation. The coffee shop has recently been renovated, and this KKM stall is actually the last original survivor here while all the other stalls have changed hands. Prices have definitely gone north—it’s now $6.50 for a big bowl of the spicy version. Honestly, I would have given it a solid 5 stars if not for the price hike, but the taste still brings back all the good old memories. Highly recommended for a late-night supper fix!

I’ve been eating here since I was young, and it’s still one of my all-time comfort foods. I know it’s “just” Maggi noodles, but there’s something so addictive about it. The soup is incredibly savoury and packed with flavour, and they’re always generous with the meat portion, which makes every bowl feel so satisfying. It’s a very popular place, so there’s almost always a queue on weekends. Thankfully, the wait isn’t too bad—we waited about 20 minutes before getting our bowl

Taste is inconsistent when the original cook (uncle) isn’t preparing the KKM. I’ve been patronizing this stall for almost 10 years. Visited on a Tuesday around 9:30am and ordered a spicy KKM, but the aunty served me a non-spicy version. Instead of preparing a fresh bowl, the short-haired lady simply took it to the kitchen and added a spoonful of chili before serving it back. I would recommend visiting only when the original cook is preparing KKM to prevent disappointment.

An institution here in BP. Been eating this since about 15 years ago, not even sure if it's the same owners, but all's I know is the stall has been pushing out ke kou mian since way back then. Queue can get quite long at times but it's reliable and as tasty as ke kou mian can get, standard vary from time to time, but at least it's still nice to see something familiar from time to time. Though 6 dollars for what is essentially a packet noodle with topping might put cost efficiency to question, at least for some.

Tried the century egg porridge. Not bad, quite flavourful. Also tried the 特制可口面, the noodle looks like thinner yellow noodle but is more chewy and not soggy. Pretty nice texture, would reccomend if you're looking to try other types of noodles other than the "maggi" type, and okay with mild "yellow noodle smell". Soup is flavourful but can be salty.

Came on a Saturday morning and the queue is insane. I waited thirty minutes after I ordered my food before it was served. Because of the long waiting time, there was a lack of seats at the kopitiam, hence I was sitting down together with my partner and there was some random guy that sat together with us. Can’t blame him though since everyone was there waiting for their food, hence the lack of seating. The original KKM itself is very ordinary ban mian/u mian. The only unique thing is the spicy KKM as the broth is unique and nice. In conclusion, as like some of my Easties friends said, “I won’t travel that far for the KKM” but they will visit it if they are around the vicinity.
