Ichiban Boshi (Causeway Point)

Returning customer but I have never been so disappointed. Even though I came before the lunch crowd, I waited 20+ minutes for my food. I initially checked with a waitress and instead of checking with the kitchen, she told me to be understanding. Then soon after I checked with another waiter and immediately received my food, COLD. No soup at all, soggy, and cold. The hot plate was cold. I feedbacked to the staff and they didnt not care. Did not have time to wait for an exchange. Very very disappointed.

Personally, I thought it was a pretty affordable place to dine. Price is just a few dollars above the food court menu. Total damage for 3pax is SGD$70+. Do try to visit before 7 pm to avoid dinner crowd. Otherwise,there may be some wait required. Portion is a reasonable size. Taste is pretty authentic. The only thing I recommend for the restaurant owner to improve on is their curtain separating the kitchen & dinning area. I totally think it is there for a purpose, but with each serving coming out of the kitchen,it is brushed through by the curtain cloth. If you don't see, it is ok, but unfortunately, I am seated just outside the kitchen entrance & I witness that on almost every serving.

Ichiban Boshi is a wonderful Japanese restaurant that’s perfect for both couples and families. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, so there’s always something for everyone to enjoy. The service is very warm and welcoming, making you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. On top of that, the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion you get. It’s a great place for a casual meal, a family gathering, or a simple date night

Today tried different fish dishes..Set meal and alarte carte.All cook well.Wasabi smooth texture.Steam egg my all time favourite. Staff very attentive to their customers.Outstanding staff Edward was hardworking and went round to check in with his customers and i can feel he is very sincere to serve and dont mind to put in extra effort.He is service champion in my eyes and asset to your company.Most of the staff here are attentive.Chef cooked well,yummy.

I like to go causeway point Ichiban Boshi not because it is near my house only, but the service and food also very good. You want better service then avoid peak hour.

It’s been a while since I had Japanese food, so yesterday evening, I had dinner with family at Ichiban Boshi. We ordered a variety of dishes like Tori Karaage, Soft Shell Crab Handrolls, Chicken Katsu Curry, Salmon Nitsuke, and more. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back!

Tried the new flaming truffle cheesy salmon hotplate. Quite good altho a bit salty. Spicy tendon is nice, but could do with a little more sauce, on the drier side. Excellent service from Edward keep it up! Attentive and helped ensure special order came as desired.

just wanna give our compliments to Edward, he was so attentive and sweet to my family and i and his cheerful and cute energy brought a lot of smiles to the table, thank you for making my birthday dinner with my family a lovely one, Edward! n_n 🤍
