If you’re wandering through Food Republic at Causeway Point in Woodlands and craving something warm, hearty, and unmistakably Korean, Hankang Pocha is the place that stops you in your tracks and keeps you coming back. From the very first bite, it’s clear that Hankang Pocha isn’t just another food-court kiosk with Korean flavours; it’s the real deal. The food here is authentic, bold, and wonderfully comforting — the kind that transports you straight to a busy Seoul street corner on a cool night. We ordered the army stew (budae jjigae), and it was everything we hoped for and more. Generous, rich, bubbling with flavour and brimming with all the hearty ingredients you could want, it arrived as a portion more than enough for two. But of course, being us, we added a few extras and suddenly, this modest pot transformed into a full-blown feast. Every spoonful was satisfying, every add-on worth it, and by the end we were full, fulfilled, and utterly content. Whether you’re after a quick meal with authentic Korean flair or a satisfying hotpot-style spread without the fuss, Hankang Pocha delivers with heart, flavour, and value. A definite must-try in Woodlands and easily one of the tastiest stops in the entire Food Republic lineup.

It was my first time here, and I ordered the Beef Hotplate with an add-on of side dishes (Kimchi, sliced fish cake, spinach, and egg soup) for an extra $1.80. This place is almost like a "fast-food restaurant" serving pretty average Korean everyday dishes. On the positive side, the food came out quickly, which was great for lunch peak hour; I only waited about 5 minutes. The service was also decent, polite, and welcoming. However, the dishes here are pretty much what you'd find at any food court Korean stall, yet the prices are significantly higher (about 20% to 30% more). The ambiance is very much like a fast-food joint; you either grab a table first or order and get a buzzer to find a spot. The Beef Hotplate and Kimchi were just average, nothing special compared to what you'd get elsewhere. I was really looking forward to the egg soup as a safe bet to finish off the meal, but it was incredibly disappointing. It was so bland it literally tasted like hot water mixed and stirred with an egg. In my opinion, if you've never been, maybe give it a try and form your own judgment, but I won't be rushing back.

Located within Food Republic which is easily located people to find food. Overview of the location, it was previouwly occupied by a Korean Food Stall and hand over to Hanburger outlet and back to Korean. But the outlook and surrounding is still the same despite the changes over the last 2 take over. Food menu are clear and easiler to select the food items offered. Recommended: Scallion Pancake, crispy and legit taste to their afflicted outlet in tanjong pagar. Must have their kimchi, juicy and authentic taste. Disappointed with the handover soup, generally it's jus fishcake soup with ricecake, enoki and crabstick. Good there are some radish in there to sweeten thr taste. But it's still very far off from what Haejang-guk should offer. Angus Sotbap wise, the beef were well done and taste good, but the Sotbap doesn't seems so but seems like a diy bibimbap. Instead of Korean version bibimbap, the nurungji taste like sg claypot with a little plastic taste, it maybe cause of the pot used. Price is on the average in CWP, but it's trying to compare it to its usual Korean restaurant price so it's still comparable high for the location and setup. Maybe there are other dishes worth trying like pork suyuk or topokki. Happy makan-ing 😉

Visited on a weekday night — not crowded at all. Service is average, which is expected since it’s located inside a food court. Prices are affordable for Korean food. The pancake is really good and worth coming back for. The jajangmyeon definitely needs improvement, while the bibimbap is just moderate. The hotplate chicken is standard food court fare. The kids menu can be skipped. Overall, a decent and affordable option if you’re in the area — I’d return mainly for the pancake.

Love it. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Service was quick too. My family enjoyed the meal. Recommended must try: Seafood pancake. Crispy n chewy! Kids fav: rice ball because it is fun to make and i love the chewy bite it has. Seafood ramen was spicy, prawn nt exactly the freshest but still okay. Jjajangmyeon comes w chucks of meat 👍🏻 Pork suyuk was tender and juicy. Overall everything we had is 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 will definitely return!

Decently priced food at the Causeway Point food court (with its own dedicated section). The Korean dishes are very good, and my favourite is definitely the seafood pancake. Everything is self‑service, but that’s perfectly fine given the price.

Do you guys believe that the soup was very salty..? The prawns are not fresh also. Moreover “kimchi is complimentary “ but when I asked for a little bit more they said ..” no can’t “ the way told me that so rude and the service was 👎🏻👎🏻

It’s my 3rd time eating here. The food is fantastic! Twice with my hubby and now on my own. Recommended it to my friend and you too! The flavour is just nice, not too bland/ light and it is what I always crave for. Hot food for the stomach. Korean food! 👍👍👍 The cost/ receipt is also attached below. Highly recommend for woodlander/ sembawangian/ yishunier. 😋
