One of our favourite restaurants in Hougang. Tried the portabello mushroom with chicken cooked in red wine sauce, and the cream based spaghetti with Bratwurst sausage. Both were excellent, and so was the mushroom soup, which was swiftly devoured (leaving no time for photo-taking). Please support quality Singaporean F&Bs like this one!

We decided to come here for a quick dinner near our home. I ordered a Chicken burger and was taken aback when I was served. The fries were overly toasted. I may have said burnt but in my mind, what is meant was it really overly done and wasn't up to standard. The bun was also burnt. You can see the black mark on top. When I feedback to the lady, she insisted there was nothing wrong. She said the color was because of the coating and so was the bun. She spoke bluntly, non emphatically, simply insisted there was nothing wrong and just wasn't willing to hear from customer's perspective. I was flabbergasted, made more annoyed by her rude attitude of refusing to see from my perspective as a paying patron. Only after she heard me saying it's ok I will post online she confronted me about it. I simply replied, it's ok you do you, I do me. Later on, the chef came out and explained to me politely that this is how restaurant serves burger and fries. His attitude was better. And he offered to redo if i insisted. We were rushing to go to the playground for my child evening play before the other kids goes home. Hence I told him it is fine. But just for the record, as someone who had been in b2b sales and business development, locally and globally, having dined and been dined at so many restaurants locally and globally, don't try to fool me saying this is restaurant standard. Anyway, i left the top of the bun alone, ate some fries but really cannot, didn't want to have sore throat. And the chicken portion in the chicken burger is really miserable. Btw, I am writing this post now at 6plus am cos I just woke up with a sore throat. To be fair, my child beef pasta was good and she finished it. My husband chicken pork chop is also decent. The tomato soup was not bad. But the chicken burger is really cmi. Don't order this. You can judge from the picture. But of course, if you like this type of overly grilled or toasted burger and fries for $15.90 before gst, then go for it. Also, don't expect much service and positive experience from the lady here.

Friendly staff, nice air-conditioning environment but a little pricey maybe the aircon is the price we paid. We can use CDC voucher, grab pay, cash and nets for payment. Take note no credit card payments. Today order 4 meal wow all dame nice ...I love the iced mocha taste just suit me well nice! I think dining experience is definitely better vs grab order. We will definitely be back.

A homely dining experience with excellent taste and flavour throughout. The pork chop was well seasoned and exceptionally tender. The chicken and portobello in red wine were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside yet tender inside. The lamb chop was also well prepared and impressively tender. The fish and chips were nicely fried and very enjoyable. Overall, the meal was extremely satisfying, and we left with very happy bellies. Highly recommended and absolutely worth the travel

Cosy family owned restaurant serving good quality and tasty meals worthy of being in a 5 Star high end restaurant. No frills, just good food, good service, felt almost like they were cooking for family. Look at the photos, we were just short of licking the plate. Between the 4 of us, we managed to try their Pork Chops, Lamb Chops, Fish & Chips and a really special Portabello with Chicken. Definitely coming back to try everything else. Came to try as colleagues recommended the food and lunch set. It is facing the road, right behind hougang green shopping mall bus stop. Not crowded during lunch so we were seated quickly. There is lunch set available on Tues, Wedn and Fri. +$1 to change from tomato soup to mushroom soup. Cream based pasta does not have garlic, so taste-wise it's quite plain. Mushroom soup is not thick or too watery. Might come again in the evening to try other menu items.

Was in this area today and decided to go back to the restaurant after my first visit 13 years ago. The tomato soup and grilled pork chop were tasty and tender. My daughter took the lunch set chicken burger and said it was delicious too.. Hope there would be more variety for the lunch set!

My daughter and son in law brought me and my husband to this place. I tried their redeye steaks was crispy on the outside and yet juicy inside, really delicious and highly recommended. The place feels homely and cozy, service was excellent too. I would highly recommend this place and would go back again to try other dishes.
