Warabimochi Kamakura

The management of the store is non-existent isit? Is ur staff uniform inclusive of the earbud while order taking? Then upright choosing to drink her beverage thru her straw while ordering which is very rude tbh?? We order two large drinks, both spilled abit upon putting the drink cover. Staff could see it but didn't wipe down the cup. Didn't offer a bag and when asked for bag she place it w the spilled liquid smearing the handles and outside of the bag. ONCE AGAIN SAW IT BUT DIDNT WIPE OR CHANGE BAG. Their drinks are on the pricer end but look at my drink ratio the whipped cream is sinking down like 30%. Recent review truly show it's not a one person experience and YOUR STAFF NEED TRAINING!

Tried their warabimochi drinks twice so far! My first purchase was the hojicha yogurt and I really loved it, it had a nice roasted flavour and wasn’t too sweet, which suits my taste perfectly. On my second visit, I decided to try their best seller, the strawberry yogurt. It was nice as well, but personally I still prefer the hojicha as I’m not really into very sweet drinks. 🫢🫢 I haven’t tried their matcha flavour yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it next time! One thing to note, the hojicha caffeine is quite strong (at least for me 😅). I had it in the afternoon and ended up having trouble sleeping at night. So if you’re sensitive to caffeine, maybe avoid drinking it too late in the day. Overall, still a great place to satisfy your warabimochi cravings 👍

I went to Kamakura today to buy a Matcha Latte. When I requested for no ice, the staff informed me there would be an additional $2 charge. This was really surprising, especially since the drink already costs $9.90! Charging extra just to leave out ice feels unreasonable and ridiculous. On top of that, the staff’s attitude was very unfriendly, almost like I owed her money. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Definitely not what I would expect for this price point.

The Warabimochi had a delightfully jelly-like but lightly chewy and soft texture. On its own it is fairly tasteless. There was a generous dusting of toasted soya bean flour (looks like finely crushed peanut). It comes with a tiny serving of kuromitsu which is the brown sugar syrup. Although a few drops of the brown sugar syrup was sufficient for each serving, I did prefer a bit more syrup. I’d recommend chilling this in the fridge for a little before serving.

Ordered $7.90 mochi with Green tea ice cream. Ice cream totally rock hard and will take at least 30min to 1 hour to be soft. Staff attitude was black face and just ask me to wait for it to melt. In the end they let me change to a Matcha Latte when I asked them to try and they themselves cannot scoop the ice cream. Will never come back.

I liked the coffee, but everytime go there during weekend at 11+ during my kids class not able to buy because they only open at 12pm. Sometime even worse, the staff went for toilet break... and it only open from 1215pm Imissed it many times. No fate. Should consider open earlier during weekend?

I knew beforehand that this place sold warabi mochi, not regular mochi, but I didn't expect this texture. It's probably a more chewy, jelly-like consistency? Personally, I still prefer regular milk mochi, and this place is quite expensive! However, it tasted even better after I froze it at home!

The strawberry matcha was really good but I'll never order from this outlet again. The customer service was really bad! I understand that early pickup isn't guaranteed. However, when there's an opportunity to make a customer's experience a little smoother without affecting operations, a small gesture of flexibility can go a long way. The staff were just on their phones and was not attending to any customer at all. Unfortunately, this experience felt unnecessarily rigid and lacked the warmth and attentiveness. I've come to appreciate from other ClassPass merchants.
