Finally visited Sweedy Cafe today!! The menu isn’t very extensive, but I guess they focus more on their desserts and sweet treats. We tried the Sweedy Big Breakfast with Smoked Salmon, and it was really good!! The honey-glazed croissant was beautifully crisp and flaky, paired with creamy scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and a refreshing mixed salad with berries. The combination was nicely balanced, with the sweetness of the croissant complementing the savoury smoked salmon and eggs. I also absolutely loved the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte!!! It was thick, creamy, and rich, with a lovely banana pudding flavour that blended surprisingly well with the matcha. The drink had a smooth, almost dessert-like texture, making it feel more like a treat than your usual matcha latte. Definitely one of my favourites~ They also offer a selection of pre-order desserts, including Mochi Bento Cakes, Fatcarons, and more, which looked really cute and tempting. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. I’d definitely come back to try more of their desserts and drinks~

Can't stop raving about the banana pudding matcha from Sweedy! The matcha had just the right amount of astringency whilst maintaining a slight floral fragrance. Been a go to spot to bring my matcha loving friends to try their seasonal menus. Special shoutout to the sandwiches, hearty and well portioned. Always a go to for my boyfriend!

I've visited a couple of times now. Their banana pudding matcha latte is a must have. Generous amounts of banana pudding that isn't too sweet and the perfect mix of cream, banana and biscoff. Matcha is also mixed well. My go to food is always their fiery breakfast sammie, perfect for anyone who likes both a sweet and savoury bite in their sandwich. Brioche bread brings it all together well too. Their dubai chewy chocolate is a must try! Perfect consistency of the mochi and the filling inside is generous but not overly sweet. Atmosphere is cosy and warm too. Service staff serve with a smile. Highly recommend visiting this cafe for your matcha fix and grabbing their bites!

Google put open at 1230 PM. Came at 1245 , store is still closed. Went around to walk, came back at 1PM finally it was opened. BUT, tried ordering some brunch menu items. Was told only 2 was available. Okay, ordered both of it. THEN , staff told us we had to wait 30more mins for the food??!! The store opens at 1230, first you open late at 1. Then the food aint even ready and i had to wait till 145 for my food to finallyyy be at my table. DO NOT OPEN if youre not ready to serve customers. Ordered the mochi cake. Paid for it. Just to be told that it was NOT AVAILABLE TOO. And i had to wait till 2PM for it to be ready. Ridiculous for real. Please do not visit this store and waste your time.

First time visiting this cosy little cafe in the neighbourhood, and I would say it's a quiet place to have a quick work while enjoying a cup of coffee and their cakes. Their mochi bento cake is pretty good, but is calorie dense for those watching their deficit. Flat white is pretty decent, and staff is also very patient to introduce what cakes or desserts they have in store.

Overpriced social media hype. Disappointing portions… Came all the way to Hougang Rivercourt to try their viral desserts. The presentation is undeniably 10/10 the mochi cakes and fatcarons look absolutely perfect for Instagram. Unfortunately, the taste and value just do not match the steep price tag. We ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte and a Mochi Cake, and while they weren't bad, they were incredibly sweet and the portions felt very small for what they cost (nearly $10 for a drink and $15+ for a small cake). It feels like you are paying a heavy premium just for the "viral" factor and the aesthetics. Overall not worth.

Totally agree with what some other reviews have said: this place is not suitable for solo customer. Even though many tables were empty, the staff would not let me sit there and only allowed me to sit on a high stool.The backrest of the stool was very low, so it was quite uncomfortable. I originally wanted to order brunch. The menu said brunch was available until 6PM, but when I arrived before 5PM, the staff told me it was no longer available and did not explain why. In the end, I ordered a cake, but it was basically like a larger mochi dessert with only a few very sour strawberries inside. Compared with other dessert shops, I found it quite average

Sweedy is best known for its viral fatcarons and more recently, their Dubai chewy cookie, but they also serve brunch and creative drinks. They’re always quick to pick up on food trends (think pistachio, matcha, mochi, and Dubai chocolate-inspired bakes) which keeps the menu fun and interesting. I’d honestly visit more often if they weren’t so far out for me :') I had the Breakfast Sammie ($14), which was the highlight for me. Buttery brioche, scrambled eggs, crispy hash brown, candied bacon, and cheddar is a hard combo to mess up, and this was done well. The candied bacon added a nice caramelised sweetness, the scrambled eggs were soft and peppery, and the torched cheddar gave it a nice smoky finish. The bread was also well toasted with a good crisp on the outside. I also tried the Pistachio Dirty Latte ($8). It had a decent balance of espresso, milk, and pistachio cream, though the pistachio definitely takes centre stage. They were generous with the pistachio cream and the bits of pistachio added a nice crunch, but I found the drink a little too sweet and heavy by the end. Best to share, and I’d probably try something else next time.
