The manger in charge when i was visiting was very kind and understanding, although we came in 30 mins before closing they were willing to give us tables and were so patient with us. When we were eating i suddenly felt like i wanted one more naan but they had mentioned previously that they closed their kitchen. Although, whn i asked the mamager whether they cld take my last min request if possible they were so understanding with me and gave it to me and take note this was like 10 mins bfr closing. All the staff had great service as well and were so welcoming. The food was excellent as well. Highly Recommend.

Dear Banana Leaf Apolo Management, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable food quality from my takeaway order purchased on 24 February 2026 from your Race Course Road outlet. The condition of the food was extremely disappointing. The curries were excessively oily, with a thick layer of oil visibly floating on the surface, making them unpleasant and effectively inedible. The briyani rice was soggy, clumped together, and lacked the expected texture and standard one would associate with your establishment. This order was specifically purchased for breaking fast, and it was both frustrating and upsetting that the food had to be discarded due to its poor quality. For the price charged and given Banana Leaf Apolo’s longstanding reputation in Singapore’s food industry, this standard of preparation is unacceptable. I have attached photographs taken shortly after purchase for your review. I request that your management investigate this matter seriously and provide: 1. A clear explanation of how such substandard food was served. 2. The corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 3. An appropriate resolution for this incident. I trust this matter will be handled with the seriousness it warrants. I look forward to your prompt response.

We were a party and of two and went for dinner on Deepavali Eve. For context, the restaurant was not full and there were several empty seats available. We went around 6.45pm for dinner. We ordered: Two rice sets w vegetables, one black squid, a fish cutlet and one sweet lassi. Bill was $37.80. I left so angry and so dissatisfied. I have been a regular patron but I was appalled at the food and service today. Our waiter (in blue so I’m guessing not a manager) was so rude and sarcastic. When putting rice, one of us told him to decrease the amount and he rolled his eyes before turning away. We also told him that we did not want the wet tissues given and his reply: “it’s free, but I can take it away” very very sarcastically. Firstly, we don’t appreciate having someone rudely make faces and roll their eyes. Secondly, whatever my reasons may be for not wanting the towelette (save the earth, I brought my own tissue), why the unnecessary sarcasm? Banana leaf do you even train your staff? The patron who asked the waiter to lessen the rice is a very small eater and did not want to waste the food. I don’t understand the issue. We thanked the server each time after he spoke to us or brought anything to our table, so no we were not rude. Food: The fish curry was horrible. So watery and the worst I’ve ever had. Fish cutlet was fried such that the outer layer was overcooked but the inside was cold and not even warmed through. I would completely understand if the restaurant were packed but it was NOT and I cannot justify why the service and food were both so bad.

Mahalakshmi birthday We recently celebrated our daughter’s 6th birthday at Banana Leaf Apollo, and it was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we booked the venue, the management team was incredibly supportive, cooperative, and attentive to every detail. Their professionalism and warmth made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The food was absolutely delicious—every guest was raving about it! Special thanks to Mr. Ragu, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran perfectly. His thoughtfulness and dedication truly made a difference. The team showed remarkable flexibility and were always ready to accommodate our needs, even going the extra mile to make the event special. If you're looking for a venue that combines great food, excellent service, and genuine hospitality, I strongly recommend Banana Leaf Apollo for your celebrations. They helped create a joyful and memorable experience that our family will cherish for years to come.

Excellent Service & Warm Hospitality By the two staff members, Mr Rajasekar and Mr Ashok who took care of us during our visit. Their service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm without being intrusive. They were knowledgeable about the menu, quick to respond to our requests, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. It’s service like this that truly enhances the dining experience. We left feeling well taken care of and will definitely be back. Well done to the team at Banana Leaf Apollo!

One of the best places for hosting small scale events (120 to 150+ pax) and the food is very delicious. Guests could not stop praising, especially the Mutton Mysore which ran out very quickly. Love the decorations and ambience of the event hall. The staffs and managers, Mr.Karthick & Mr.Raghu, were very cooperative and made our reception a success. The customer service is highly commendable and hope we get more opportunities to host more events in the future here.

Yummy banana leaf rice , it’s now served on banana leaf look alike plate not the natural leaf 🍃. You get to choose from plain rice or briyani rice . You are given 2 sides of vegetables . We had korma cabbage and brinjal curry . Cauliflower Gobi fried crispy was nice . Bhindi masala which was ladies finger /okra was amazing , stir fried in a mild aromatic sauce. Fish cutlet $8.50 per piece was nothing to shout about .
