Okay so the ramen here is super value for money! To be honest the Mazesoba was kind of lacking in flavour, but I think it just needs some spice. The portion is very good, I got 3 big slices of chashu with a soft boiled egg, and a lot of mince meat as well, all for $5.80. I was already very full when I finished. The food doesn’t taste very oily or salty either. Would definitely eat again if I’m returning to Yusof Ishak House

Great value for money ramen set! $5.80 with choice of broth, ramen/udon and 2 sides. I preferred their soup ramen. The mazesoba was quite tasteless. Maybe I needed to put chili oil. But going forward, I’m having only soup ramen from here.

Ate the tempura set at the newly opened branch in Yusof Ishak Hall (YIH), NUS. Taste is alright and has a decent variety of meat and veg tempuras. For $6, the portion is very generous. Price: $6

Ramen with 2 sides $5.80. Chashu is tender, egg is nicely cooked. But soup tastes like instant soup. Not bad for a school canteen though.

Cozy ramen joint nestled in the heart of NUS' Yusof Ishak House. Run by affable chef owner Eric Tan and his wife Sher Loon, whose extensive experience in F&B restaurants certainly shows up in their cooking. Worth trying are all the add ons, especially the aburi chashu which is flame grilled by hand till smoky good. While there is often a crowd of students drawn by the economical prices, service is fast and efficient with waiting time kept to a minimum. Highly recommended for your quick ramen fix! (They are also available on Grab)
