Xi Men Jie

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Si Men Jie, Westgate. We ordered one main dish and two side dishes. While the chicken portion was acceptable, the tempura was a huge letdown. Both side dishes cost $6 each, but the tempura portion was honestly shocking. To be fair, my husband and I had already eaten about five pieces before taking the photo, but even when it was first served, the plate wasn’t even filled. It looked embarrassingly empty for a $6 side dish. Charging $6 for such a tiny portion is simply unacceptable. It feels like poor value for money and leaves customers feeling short-changed. If you’re planning to dine here, I’d recommend skipping the tempura side dish because it is definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed by this experience. I hope the management reviews their portion sizes so future customers receive better value.

Had a great meal at Ximenjie! The Taiwanese dishes were delicious, authentic, and definitely worth trying. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and there was a good variety on the menu. If you're craving Taiwanese cuisine, this is a place I'd happily recommend. Looking forward to coming back to try more dishes!

Great Taiwanese food! We ordered the Crispy Chicken Cutlet with egg fried rice and Lu Ruo Fan. Will definitely be back!
