Jiak Ba Food Heaven (J8)

It was crowded n tight on space on a Thursday night at the J8 outlet. I ordered the much-raved-about Signature Mee Sua. Pretty good, especially the intestine : flavourful with no weird taste. It would have been better if the chilli sauce was served on the side, as spice levels are pretty subjective. The app showed the winter melon drink was sold out (but it actually wasn’t), so I ordered the honey lemon instead. Pretty good not too sweet and refreshing. Oh the app also didn’t work n we had to order at the counter instead. My daughter had the beef noodles and felt the broth was too bland. She’s a seasoned traveller to Taiwan, so I trust her verdict. I tried a piece of the braised beef and found it tender and flavourful. My son-in-law ordered the bee hoon, which was our favourite. We loved the tangy flavour and freshly stir-fried taste. Rue chicken cutlet was authentically Taiwanese which reminded us of the night market feels! The side dishes were good too. The only downside was that the portions were rather small.

Located at Bishan Junction 8. The fried chicken taste great in authentic Taiwanese style. I like the mee sua, texture is good ,the gravy is smooth the oyster is fresh. I ordered the spicy one and it tasted good. The vegetbale side dish is made of cabbage cooked with mushroom and has a home made feel to it. The service is welcoming and friendly, I was greeted with a warm and crisp Taiwanese accent and recommendation of the dishes and payment method. My only comment for consideration on improvement would be the mee sua, it's a little small portion compared to the chicken. Perhaps the local take in more carbohydrate during main meals. As for the Chicken cutlet, suggestion to cut into smaller piece for ease of grip with chop stick. Overall it is a good dining experience. 11 Jun- Mee Hoon set

Came here 2nd time. When I was here first time already so happy with the food! Prompt and friendly service. Food is good 👍 love the simple veg dishes very homestyle. And the milk tea really nice, it’s the red tea leaf aroma. Trying today again. Just that the pork chop abit tough for me to eat but still tasty overall we still like. Service is always important first 😊👍, posting photos from both visits.

I came on a weekday afternoon for late lunch. The place is quite empty and my food is served minutes after ordering. the side vegetable has but of mushroom and dried shrimps, v flavourful. The oyster meesua is also v good, the oysters fresh and juicy.. 1st time customer can scan a qr code to sign up as member which will entitle u to a 15percent discount off the bill.. My order came up to a little less than 10bucks. Recommended if u are craving for some authentic taiwanese food

I absolutely love their Crispy Jumbo Leg.They’re always fresh, tender, and incredibly juicy. Every bite is full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. Definitely one of my favorite items on the menu!

Located at 2F, came here for a quick weekday lunch and seats are nearly full, eventually a queue formed. Quick service and good value for money. Potentially save 10% if joining as new member. Oyster Mee Sua a must try in this place👍

Nice food and value for money for the set meal as compared to chain kiosk taiwan street food. Streddered chicken mee sua and side vege suits my taste and so is the chicken cutlet, crispy and yet meat is tender. However, the 菜叶蛋is like normal hardboiled egg, "tasteless", needs improvement for this dish. Overall,still quite satisfied with my lunch set.

The pork chop was surprisingly delicious, highly recommended! The waiters were super nice and patiently explained the menu. I'll definitely come again.
