Spize in Bedok has become our reliable group lunch spot, with generous portions, bold Asian flavours, and prices that stay easy on the wallet. It isn't our first visit, and the Asian kitchen is where it consistently delivers. The nasi goreng pattaya arrives as a proper mound of fried rice wrapped in a thin omelette and finished with a sweet-savoury chilli drizzle, while the fried noodles come springy and slicked in a rich, spicy sauce. Crispy calamari and a boat of seasoned fries round things out nicely for sharing, and the servings are honestly built for a hungry table. With most Asian mains landing around the S$8 to S$11 mark, it is easy value for a casual group meal. Best approached as a shared spread rather than one plate each, and it suits a quick lunch or a relaxed catch-up with friends. It is the kind of unfussy neighbourhood spot that anchors the Simpang Bedok food scene, and one we are happy to keep coming back to. Recommended for groups after generous, affordable local fare in the east.

Ordered the trending food. The food was not as hot as I thought it would be when it was served to me. But taste wise ok. Not bad.

Thank you for your reply regarding my feedback on the unpleasant dining experience I had at your Bedok outlet on 6 May. However, I must express my disappointment and frustration with the response provided. As someone who previously operated in the F&B industry, I understand that your outlet should have CCTV coverage, and I believe the situation can be properly verified. What concerns me most is the statement in your reply claiming that four staff members, including the manager, approached me and offered to replace the dishes, which I allegedly declined. I would like to state clearly that this did not happen at all. At no point did your manager or any member of your staff offer to replace any of the dishes served to my table. The only staff member who approached us was Fendi, who kindly provided four scoops of ice cream. Frankly, I am now even more upset because the response given portrays the situation inaccurately, making it appear as though service recovery was attempted when, from my experience, it was not. I would appreciate clarification on how management intends to address situations like this, especially when the account provided to customers does not reflect what actually happened. Celebrated a birthday dinner at Spize on 6th May, and the experience was very disappointing. Most of the dishes tasted off and did not seem fresh, which is unacceptable—especially for a special occasion. The overall food quality fell far below expectations and significantly affected our celebration. I am giving the only 1 star, given the only Star to Fendi. This is a serious concern, and I strongly urge you to review both your food quality and service standards. Customers should be able to trust that the food served is fresh and the service is up to standard. Thank you for charging premium prices for food that didn’t meet even basic expectations. The quality was disappointing, and the taste was clearly off. This was meant to be a birthday celebration, but instead it turned into a frustrating experience. For what we paid, the standard was unacceptable. This will definitely be my last time dining at Spize. Asam boi for the win. And honestly, we’ve loved everything on the menu. Our repeat orders: Nasi goreng kampung, beef hor fun, fried kway teow, Kai lan with garlic, rojak, and their cereal prawn.
