Soi 19 wanton mee started as a humble stall at Ang Mo Kio Ave 5, blk 151. The owner even had the thought of closing it down for good. We 1st tried it years ago and wrote a blog about them. Soon, many food bloggers, newspaper articles started appearing. The queue started to form, till the point i had to wait for an hour for the bowl of thai wanton mee. Branches soon multiplied and the uncle can no longer be seen at the stall. I consider them as a family business as all their stalls are helmed by their family members. We used to eat it so often. Ever since not cooked by the uncle, we eat less and less. This weekend we went back to eat again, hmm the fish lup cheong is still good. Noodles i feel alittle soggier than before, the soup is still good. Can try if you are in the area. #soi19

Coming back from black! So glad they have open another outlet after closing the other. Better location than the previous one. Tried Original and Black. Although my preference is black usually, for only this, Orginal is better. Black sauce adds sweetness which make it overly sweet for the wanton mee. Including the sausage which is also sweet. It ruins the depth of flavor. Just order the Orginal one. They have other options, but who am I kidding? I'll just order Wanton whenever I come here.

Went to their old place at Blk 151 AMK Ave 4. Checked & realised might b moved to blk 159 AMK Ave 4. Hope it’s the same stall. Ordered 1 bowl of original & 1 bowl of black sauce Wanton Mee. The noodle cooked well. Tho there’s no chilli sauce added in the original bowl but it taste great without chilli too. Love the generous amount of pork Lard they give & the fish sausage taste so yummy. Will definitely come again and bring my other family members to try too.

I love their pig Trotter rice! The meat and sauce are very flavorful, marinate till gao gao kind. The staff is also very nice to accommodate my request for lean meat only =)

Not sure how authentic the stall from the previous located at nearby block, the standard was surprisingly good.

This stall which has numerous restaurants all over Singapore shifted here after the previous coffee shop it was in was repossessed. Still the same taste.

Food and photos matched. Maybe food even looked and tasted nicer than photos. We had wanton mee and fried pork rice. Very good "hearty" portion size.
