Fei Fei Roasted Noodle

Very good overall! Love it! One of the best Char Siew in Singapore. There are some good Char Siew noodle shop as well but in terms of the meat tenderness... this one is hard to beat. And surprisingly it's not very fat either. Pro: - Char Siew: Very tender. 8.5/10. Not the red colour type. - Noodle: AL Dante: 9/10. Nice because of the pork lard n the sauce. Con: - Super long Q. 3/10 - Cash only! After queuing for so long only to realised they accept CASH only. Luckily the uncle in front help me pay n I paynow him after. 2/10 - Close on Sun. - Sometimes open late.

Heard their cha siu is ‘Michelin’ grade (they received some kind of local award) so I ordered and paid in advance. On the separate day of collection, I went all the way to collect but she said she was surprised and asked today is 31st? They already distributed the rest to other customers, saw all their receipts and now can say don’t know what date is today and forgot about my order? I think more like they gave my order away (maybe to a regular customer?). Unhappy, I left and read some people commented they saw queue cutting before. Can’t even rate their cha siu because I got nothing. Wasted my time and effort. It is a gift to share with someone and now I am left empty handed. Food might be ‘good’ but not the service.

Verdict of this famous fei fei wanton mee. Their wanton is plump and juicy, taste very similar to hong kong wantons. The noodle is well executed and springy. unfortunately charsiew was sold out at 10am so i can't rate it. Roasted duck was nice and juicy but the taste is similar to some I've tasted before in singapore so there's nothing to wow about. Overall, it's a better than average hawker fare but i won't queue 1 hour or travel across the island just for this 😎 It's definitely a blessing for the nearby folks who stays here. They opens at 830am but will be sold out before 11am.The demand and queue is real so be prepared to queue 1 hour.

Came early and told got people ordered 30 packs so i seat down and wait, but didn't know the queuing works, luckily the kind man allowed me to order first. 30 pack were considered quite fast. Even though we might be put off by the long queue. Food is amazing very old school even the noodle is HK style not alkaline. Especially like the duck meat fatty and tasty savoury. Finished the whole plate. Cha shao also good. Also came all the way from woodlands.

Do not Q after 10am. Char Siew was sold out and I was left to order wonton only noodles. So I decided to give the wonton noodles a review without char siew. Noodles came with 5 wontons. Filling was good with shrimp but it didn’t feel crunchy enough. The noodles were very springy and the sauce was excellent. There was a slight alkaline taste after a few bites though. The small little pieces of pork lard was really good and flavourful. Nice umami taste of the soup but just a little too salty for me. Conclusion : The char siew and roasted meats are the drawing factor. Else don’t bother

The sio bak isn't just crispy - biting it is a tectonic event. It has a distinct, airy crackle that tastes like pure, salted indulgence. One bite and you’ll understand why the queue is so long everyday. Then there’s the char siew that’s been charred to a sticky, smoky, caramelized perfection. And don't forget the duck too! Fei Fei Wanton Mee serves one of the most satisfying bowls around. The char siew is extremely tender, juicy and nicely caramelised — easily one of the best parts of the meal. Their duck is also very tasty, soft and flavourful without being too oily. The noodles are cooked perfectly with a good springy texture, and the wantons are fresh and well-seasoned. However, be prepared for a long queue, especially during peak hours. The service can be quite slow, so waiting is expected. That said, the food quality usually makes the wait worthwhile. Even with the slower pace, the staff still try their best to handle the crowd. Overall, if you don’t mind queueing, Fei Fei Wanton Mee is worth a visit for its tender char siew, tasty duck and perfectly cooked noodles. It’s a solid bowl that keeps people coming back despite the long wait.

Having tried the one at Orchard which tasted really good, we wanted to find out how the original one tasted so here we are! ⏰ arrived on a Wednesday morning at 0838, and got our food at 0857. The queue was significantly longer once we started queuing, very lucky indeed. But 20 minutes for half the alley puts the total queue time beyond 40 minutes once it stretches out of that small alley, something to consider when spotting the queue. 🍝 I ordered their traditional wanton noodle option, with roast pork on one and roast duck on the other, to see how those “miscellaneous” meat tastes. Char siew 5 stars, no doubt their signature, as good as the one in Orchard, with bits of char that adds to the flavour. Wanton 5 stars, definitely will opt for the combination of these 2 in future. Roast pork 3.5 stars, good but not one that i’m fully sold, had better ones. Roast duck 3.5 stars, the skin did have some flavour but not perfect, and i requested for breast meat but wasn’t given that so some points off that too. Overall, I would be most willing to queue 30-40 minutes tops for their amazing wanton mee, but nothing more in terms of time and meat.
