I’ve been coming to this Paradise Hot Pot Compass branch for many years, and what truly keeps me coming back is the people. The service has always been warm, sincere, and professional — especially XiuQin, Siew Chen, Lin Yuam, and everyone else on the team. Even though there are other branches, I still choose this one. Every staff member, including those I may not know personally, treats customers with genuine care and makes you feel welcomed, almost like visiting old friends. This kind of heartfelt consistency is rare, and it’s what makes this place so special to me. Thank you to XiuQin, Siew Chen, Lin Yuam, and the entire team for keeping such a wonderful spirit all these years. If you’re looking for a hot pot place that feels like home, with staff who truly care, this is definitely the one to visit.

Paradise Hotpot delivered a roomy, family-friendly Hong Kong-style all-you-can-eat hotpot with a clear DIY focus and good value if you time it right. The self-serve ingredient stations are extensive — lots of fishballs, processed items, sliced meats and fresh veg — and the sauce bar lets you build classic combos (sesame paste, soy, chilli, spring onion). I also liked the herbal-drink dispensers (sour plum, water chestnut) and the visible menu board that states an 80-minute individual hotpot format and Early Bird pricing (starting as low as S$19.90 shown). Staff were efficient with replenishment while kids happily helped themselves at the counters. Practical tip: aim for the Early Bird or lunch session for best value and go for the "Beef and Premium Set" as i think it gives the best both worlds; note the board shows a weekend/public-holiday surcharge (S$3) and a food-wastage charge (S$10 per 100g). Minor note: the sauce station gets busy and a little drippy during peak times — a quick tidy would help presentation. Photos show the condiment station, ingredient wells and the pricing/menu board. Good choice for families and value-seekers; I’d recommend it for a casual, hands-on hotpot outing. Finally, hot food is available while you wait for the main steamboat food to be cooked. Special tip for kids: Go for the famous pancake machine for fresh pancakes. This is the same machine available in hotels today.

Felt scammed. 80mins. Dishes and soup almost took 15mins. Ordered Luxury set. Paid abt $63 per pax. Total 6 pax. The whole birthday dinner was disappointing. Kurobuta, Iberico and the most basic set pork collar. All 3 looks the same and taste the same. We checked with the staff what pork is that. She mentioned kurobuta, after a while she changed her words again, said it’s iberico. I believe all 3 kind of pork is actually the same pork. Tough and lean cut. Even after cooking for 10seconds, it’s already too tough to chew. Iberico pork shouldnt be like this. Color don’t seem right too. Bright red? Almost $400 for a group of 6 adults is not worth it. Half full for dinner crowd is already quite obvious. They really got to take in feedback from customers. Food quality is bad for the $60+ per pax. The most basic buffet option will make more sense if u guys wants to eat here. For that price, nth to complain much.

Decent value for money, opting for the $25.90 Premium Option with beef and seafood, dumplings, shrimp paste options for 80mins (60min ordering only). Some hotpot ingredients (tofu, sausage, vegetables, noodles) are on a self-serve counter. Excellent selection of cooked food suitable for all ages, fried food like nuggets, popcorn chicken, luncheon sticks to stirfried cabbage, cauliflower, fried rice. Some porridge, soup options available too. The Taiwan braised pork rice was surprisingly good. Decent sauce station too. Dessert and fruits are plentiful with customisable beancurd and toppings, pancake making machine. However, the mala soup itself was quite bland and didnt pack a punch. the beef was tough and the pork collar / US kurobuta pork were thickly sliced, making them hard to chew on. Compared to Shabu Sai’s beef and pork meat at a similar price point, Paradise Hotpot’s fell short. Plenty of staff who are very helpful and cheery, great service as usual from Paradise group 🤩

I used to enjoy Paradise Hotpot at Compass One years ago, but this recent visit was a complete disappointment. The standard has dropped drastically while the prices have gone up. We paid for the premium set, only to find it came with just one type of beef. And it was a terrible cut, full of veins, extremely tough and completely bland. The prawns were embarrassingly small, stale and had a powdery texture that made it hard to believe they were fresh. What made it worse was the service and dining restrictions. Although it is an 80-minute dining limit, we waited 20 minutes just for the soup to be served. That left us with barely an hour to eat, for a price of S$45.60 per person. The food choices were limited and nowhere near what you would expect from a hotpot chain charging premium prices. It felt rushed, overpriced and utterly underwhelming. This place has gone from a decent hotpot spot to a complete letdown. I will never return to Paradise Hotpot again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

After hotpot, ordered the molten salted egg bao and char siew bao. This was served. For Paradise Group, i think this presentation was not acceptable. And it was served by a i supposed, manager since she is wearing a black coat. Even if it was buffet, and quantity serve was 1 bao, should at least serve a presentable looking bao and not a broken off bao. Also the molten bao, not sure its semi cooked, it doesnt flow. Inside partial melted, partial solidify fillings. Not sure if the standard of soup is different from the usual beauty in the pot, but tomato soup was not up to their usual standard. Ebiko prawn paste wasn't like their usual in beauty in the pot too. Room for improvement from Compass One outlet.

Visited for a late lunch 6 July 2025, and tried our luck walking in. We (2pax) were seated fairly quickly, but had to wait 15–20 minutes before any of our food was served.(we had then ordered into online order system while waiting to be seated). At the end of our meal, we ordered dessert and waited another 20–25 minutes with nothing served. I checked with a server in an orange uniform (the only one in orange, the rest were in black) who told us it would take 20 minutes. We waited. After a total wait of 45 minutes, I asked a lady in a jacket (who seemed to be the manager), and was told the dessert still wasn’t ready — unless we were willing to wait another 20 minutes for it to defrost. Also, they changed the quality of the beef. I will not go back there again as we ordered premium set but the quality of the beef is horrible. Seriously, what is going on here? Obviously, market is not in the best condition now, since many F&b closed down and I could get a table easily, without making any reservation. But the service…? The service and coordination clearly need improvement. Unacceptable and wasted so much time waiting and need reminders. I would go to a better place for better quality food, even it is to cost more!

Unlike the westgate outlet , sengkang outlet doesn’t have the counter where we can easily get our vegetables, noodles and cooked food etc So every item we have to order through their system and service was very slow due to a very clear shortage of service crews where only 5 service crews have to serve a fully filled restaurant including cashier duties and clearing of the tables. Making it worse is the 60 minutes limit for ordering food and therefore only 3 sets of orders were made with not wasting food in mind and when I wanted to make my 4th order time is up game over haha. And lastly I had a very bad experience with their shiitake mushroom glutinous rice siew mai I was served a siew mai not hot with the skin so hard and inedible. I supposed a trainee chef would also know that siew mai skin have to be served hot or else the skin will get very hard? In my view, it is fundamental that a chef should be able or willing to consume the food which he/she served to a customer.
