I really like the set of 4 special sauce jars — there’s a fish sauce that tastes very similar to Vietnamese fish sauce. The salad is delicious. The tom yum soup has a slightly unusual, strong flavor compared to my taste, and one tom yum dish wasn’t very good because it had fried fish in it, which tasted a bit odd. The fish is fresh, and the stir-fried vegetables are fresh as well. The price is reasonable. There was a long queue when I arrived, but the waitress was very enthusiastic and friendly.

It’s been years since my last visit to Nakhon Kitchen, and I’m happy to report that the food standards haven’t dropped a bit. I arrived at 5:00 PM and was seated immediately, though I’d definitely recommend coming during off-peak hours like this, as the queues during peak times are legendary. The ambiance is spot on; Thai music, Thai servers, and condiments right on the table. It feels very authentic, like stepping into a local eatery in Bangkok. What I Ordered ($17 total): • Basil Chicken Rice: Very tasty and hit the spot. My only minor gripe was the fried egg; the yolk was fully cooked/dry, whereas I was hoping for that classic runny yolk. • Tom Kha Soup: Absolutely delicious. It was savory, creamy, and not overly spicy. I polished off every drop! The fried fish and prawns were fresh, though there was only one prawn in the bowl. • Thai Green Milk Tea: A perfect, refreshing companion to the meal. The Verdict: For $17, the quality and portion sizes are excellent. It’s clear why this place remains a staple for Thai food lovers. Despite the small "egg situation" and the single prawn, the overall flavors and experience were fantastic. Pro Tip: Get there before the dinner rush to skip the line! I’ll definitely be back.

The hor fan is horrible! Don't order. The texture of the noodles is very rough, insread of smooth. I odered chick hor fan and have 2 chunk of chicken meat. I supposed it should be sliced into smaller pieces. The fish cake is tge type in orange color. Not my cup of tea. The tom yum soup is filled with MSG. I am a person sensitive to MSG. After drinking a few spoonful of it, i had a bad headache. The squid in the soup is frozen squid, not fresh one. The only dish which was nice is pineapple rice. My kids like their pandan chick though. Don't think will come back again.

I used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning. We arrived around 5:15 PM for dinner and noticed several empty tables both at the front and back. However, the staff told us they couldn’t seat us due to a lack of manpower. Despite this, they were still accepting GrabFood and takeaway orders — which mean they could manage orders, just not priority for dine-in customers . If so, please put a board mention it and I won't even bother to queue for dine in. We had elderly people with us, and it was disappointing to see such poor service and lack of consideration. The staff seemed reluctant to assist, and the overall experience reflected poor management and planning. Very disappointing for a place that once had our loyalty.

Disappointed After 10 Years I’ve been drinking the signature tom yum soup here for over 10 years — it used to be rich, balanced, and unforgettable. But what I had today was beyond disappointing. It tasted worse than a basic tom yum ban mian from a kopitiam. Absolutely no depth, no spice, no soul. To make things worse, the steamed fish was full of scales — clearly not cleaned properly. I’m honestly shocked at how far the quality has dropped. It’s sad to see such a once-loved dish reduced to this. Please bring back the standard we all used to come for.

Food is usually great and delicious. However, when i ordered takeaway today the tom yum to coconut ratio in my soup was horrible. The soup straight up tasted like coconut milk.

My food rating guide: 2.5/5 ‐-------> Average taste 5/5 ‐--------> Scrumptious! (My comfort food! 🤩) Iced red Thai tea was kind of diluted but still had that Thai tea fragrance. Deep fried pork with garlic was tender and well seasoned. The garlicky taste was light. It was much stronger and fragrant previously. The spicy lime and garlic steamed sea bass was not the freshest but fine. The soup was nice but not really garlicky. Their 4 choices of chilli sauces were nice. The food quality has declined. The meal was a 3.3/5

No wait on Tuesday 12.45pm. Ordered pork omelette $8, basil pork $8, butter prawns $15. Out of Pandan chicken even by lunch. Omelette was fluffy enough and not oily at all. Don't think I tasted any pork though. Basil pork was spicy and tasty but lacked the basil fragrance. Butter prawns could be eaten whole with shell. Tasty enough but was the least appetising of the three. Don't think it was really a Thai dish so it didn't have the same taste and texture palette as the other dishes.
