Long story short: undercooked chicken chop still oozing pink juice, was told that they will change for me. Staff ended up re-grilling the half-eaten chicken chop and returning to me on the same plate, already with raw pink juices. Hygiene standard is very bad. Wrote email in to feedback on 8 Apr, till now there hasn’t been any reply. Food standards also deteriorated. Haven’t seen their corn muffin so dry and hard like a rock before. Even the muffin casing was stuck and can’t peel off. Definitely not coming back again.

I ordered for for takeaway, but they charged me for eat-in. That means I’m charged 10% service charge, even though I didn’t eat in. When I highlighted this error, they did not apologise for their mistake. However, they did say that I will be refunded for the service charge that was wrongly applied. The interesting thing is they just returned my receipt, and did nothing else. The food came (after what seemed like quite a while) and I left because I needed to be somewhere else. There is no reversal of charge to my card or any refund. They did not even bother to offer me compensation to make up for their error. I would have gladly accepted muffins or some equivalent value of food for the refund. But this was not offered. I suspect the reason why this outlet has such a high Google rating is they will give you a free drink or a free muffin for every GOOD Google review (they have a sign at their cashier saying that!). So you make your own judgement. For me, I will not go back.

Ordered the weekday value meal ($10.80). Had the quarter chicken meal which came with a choice of side and corn muffin. The chicken with black pepper sauce was pretty tender, and the portion sizes were decent. The corn muffin was tasty, a delicious staple of Kenny Rogers. Unfortunately the mac & cheese side was lukewarm and the soup was a tad salty. Overall still a great value lunch deal if in the area, with a wide variety of mains to choose!

We missed Kenny Rogers after they closed down their JEM outlet. We ended up here after my dad expressed his desire to eat their chicken again. We picked among the Super Value set that comes with a main course and a side of clear chicken soup. We didn't wait long and the soup and mains came right after one another. It must be been the absence because we wiped the plates clean. Or maybe it was due to having a late lunch. The chicken chop that came with Aglio Olio has a very crispy skin that earned praise from my mum.

Decided to try today, instant regret. The most pathetic food I've ever bought for $13.

Kenny Rogers has indeed lost it's body and soul . The soft and cosy dim ambience and the Jude box playing songs of yesteryears are gone for good. No more comfortable booth seats and friendly smiles . What used to be a family diner now feels like a canteen . Whomever who has taken over the franchise of kenny Rogers definitely has done the brand a disfavour. The chicken is dry and skin over roasted or probably reheated over and again and the signature corn muffin is hard dry and overly sweet . No longer that big and fluffy welcoming corn muffin . Kenney Rogers has so much potential given it's simple menu and homely food and great side dishes but this is a thing of the past . This should be named ken's chicken to disassociate from the remarkable Kenny Rogers .
