Eng Kee Chicken Wings, Anchorvale Village

This stall is located in a hawker centre on the 2nd floor of Anchorvale Village shopping centre, where the first floor is where the restaurants are located. It has >30 stalls and can fit 600 pax. Good ventilation given high ceilings, open layout and large High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) ceiling fans. Food quality - the wings are cheaper ($1.70) than Ah Tan's Wings, but being traditional fried wings, they're not the same as Ah Tan's prawn paste type. The fried beehoon is also great ($1.20/1.40). But both are quite salty. Even the chilli is salty. The Beehoon + fish fillet + Egg ($3) Combo is a good deal. Former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was known to queue for Eng Kee's wings. Parking - There is a MSCP right inside Anchorvale Village. Kids playground is located on Level 4 and can be reached via stairs from level 3.

Order grab food, by far the worst economic bee hoon I have eaten. Everything tasted very off , no chilli given so i used mine then. It's a shame for their latest genration. If to expand, please expand with quality like how the old generation did.

Service level has dropped since it first opened. Chicken wing still ok but sometimes they tend to give you the cold ones.

Abit too oily and salty for my liking. Has the wok hei but feels too heavy after just eating a small portion. Doesn't help that the uncle is also very grumpy and slow in service, and scolds customers. Overall bad experience and ruins the morning mood and stomach.

Somehow different outlets has different serving portions and tastes. For this outlet, the bee hoon was salty and super oily. You might feel like having a Chinese tea to ‘wash down’ after eating it. I still rate Commonwealth outlet and Redhill as 👍

Queue is a good sign.

Would be better if there was more variety. It's better than ah tan wings in my opinion. Ah tan served me bloody and salty wings.
