Honest review from me, I land here every time we enter spore. Mantappp!!!!! 1. Must queue, we queued 1/2 with the weekday lunch crowd. Its ok, there are fans and everyone is bathing and spraying perfume. It's closed on Sundays, don't dream of eating. 2. Taste the dishes Delicious, can compare to regional dishes, delicious from remboulan (M'sia) and delicious again from the morning (Indonesia). Delicious because the quality is good, fresh and clean and all the spices are felt. The soy sauce and sambal belacan are strong and spicy. I wish I can cook lime them but its easier to come and eat here 👍 3. Service with a smile and fast. Many tables even though customers "booked to put a tissue umbrella or a water boat". Its ok because the upper seating area has air conditioning.

Situated near Haji Lane and Arab Street, it's quite near to Bugis MRT via the Downtown Line (Blue Line), just a short walk away. Seating is ample, but a little cramped. There are a few seats within the main eatery itself, but next door there's a second space both on the 1st floor and 2nd that you can dine at. The Nasi Padang is really good. Not very oily like most other places and it's cooked fresh. And it's considered affordable compared to coffeeshops and cafeterias, yet has comfortable seating. Had the fried chicken, tempeh with beans and other leafy vegs. (don't know the name, just know it tastes good). The barley drink was very sweet, though. It gets crowded during lunch time so do arrive around 11:45am or earlier if you 2ant to avoid the crowds.

Not my first visit to Hjh Maimunah Restaurant … they’ve been quite consistent with their nasi padang offerings over time at other outlets too. The flavours are rich, comforting, and reliably satisfying.😋 Tip: besides the usual belachan sambal chilli, try topping your rice with serunding - a fragrant, spiced grated coconut condiment that adds a nice extra layer of flavour. One small suggestion: the Level 2 dining area can feel a bit warm & stuffy, so adding more wall fans would really improve ventilation and overall comfort lotsssss. Pls consider, youur customers will thank you for it🙏

Lunchtime crowd so be there early and chope your table, weekdays best to dine with friends or colleagues. There are many dishes selection of your liking, you can order food on a plate for own consumption Or share some selected dishes with friends, that is what we did. Drinks & Malay local snacks & dessert are available too. Staff squeezed the lime into Iced teh-o limau so you don’t have to do it, keep your fingers dry for the food. 😊 We’re started eating before remembering take photos as too hungry😬. Ayam Kalio chicken) with lightly curry sauce mix well with stream rice. Telur Dadar(egg) is has mix onions cooked and thick in size served. Prawn sambal is well chili with slight sweetness and big prawn size. As for the cook vegetables is average but the Begedel is well fried with less oily.

Very disappointed with the food standards. The beef rendang was tough and difficult to chew, the sambal belacan was watery with hardly any belacan taste, and the sambal goreng was excessively sweet. The beancurd was also hard. Overall, the food quality fell far below expectations, and we were unable to finish our meal.

🤤 The taste is absolutely incredible! The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a sweet, savory sauce. The curry vegetables with tofu were also great, and the Ikan Bilis was the perfect crunchy addition! For my spice lovers, you MUST try their Sambal Belacan, but be warned, it is seriously spicy, yet so fragrant you can’t stop!
🏠 Despite the crowd, the restaurant is kept very clean and tidy. The ordering section and a small seating area are on the ground floor. If it’s full, you can head up to the second floor for plenty more seating options!

Final Verdict:
💯 Verdict: Long queue and slightly pricey, but for this level of authentic Malay/Indonesian flavor, I give it a perfect score! Definitely one of the best Nasi Padang meals I’ve had this year. If you’re in the Bugis area and craving local food, go for it!

On 11 dec 2025 between 11 to 12pm. Not worth buying at vivocity. Pay expensive but the portion given too little like buying nasi lemak $2 . Maybe the server skinny she think enough for her size. Next time i should order from bigger size server instead. i will avoid skinny server for sure . $8.50 lah not $2 nasi lemak. Im so hungry and u give this kind of portion better i buy from seah im hawker centre more cheaper. PLEASE iNFORM your servers. To All Please avoid skinny server u will be dissapointed. Next time i will come back to see if got any improvement if same i will post at social to show im not telling lie.

Looking for halal food around Boss Hotel.. only 5 minutes walking from the hotel, Malay food type with warteg bahari style serving, the portions are big, so just choose 2 menus and you'll be full.. the taste is delicious, still in our Indonesian tongue.. recommended for those looking for halal food in Singapore 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
