This was my second or third visit to the Tai Seng outlet. The food and overall experience were decent, but there are a few areas that could be improved. During my visit, there was no one attending the counter. While I understand that the counter staff may have been away briefly, there were several other staff members around. Including myself, three customers were waiting to place our orders, and we stood there for a few minutes before a gentleman, whom I believe was one of the cooks, stepped forward to assist us. Better coordination among the team would help improve the customer experience. I tried the otah nasi lemak this time. The otah itself was quite enjoyable, but the dish could be refined further. The rice lacked the rich coconut aroma and flavour that is typically associated with nasi lemak. In addition, the rice was cooked a little too soft and ended up rather soggy, which affected the overall texture and enjoyment of the meal. The dining area was also quite humid and uncomfortable. However, I do not think this is entirely Veggie House's responsibility and it may be related to the mall's ventilation or air-conditioning system. To their credit, Veggie House had placed a standing fan nearby to help make the environment more bearable, which was appreciated. I hope the mall management can look into the humidity issue. With improvements to service efficiency and some fine-tuning of the food, this outlet has the potential to offer a much better dining experience.
