Ho Bee Roasted Food: A Stellar Roast Combination and Next-Level Side Soup! I recently visited my sister-in-law, and at her suggestion, we decided to head over to the popular Ho Bee Roasted Food (好味烧腊) at Ang Mo Kio 628 Market for family dinner. Looking at the snaking queue attached to the stall, I was a bit hesitant at first, but I am incredibly glad I made the decision to follow the crowd. Despite the long line, the wait time wasn't long at all as the stall operates like a fast, well-oiled machine. I ordered the Char Siew and Roast Pork (Siew Yoke) combo, and it was simply amazing. The portions given were very generous. Both meats were brilliantly marinated and beautifully roasted. The Char Siew had a wonderful, savory-sweet glaze that penetrated deep into the meat, while the Roast Pork featured a fantastic, crispy crackling layer on top paired with a very tender, juicy meat-to-fat ratio. Every bite was an absolute delight. Normally, hawker roast meat stalls give you a diluted, watery cabbage soup as an afterthought. Ho Bee takes theirs to the next level. The soup was full of volume, incredibly hearty, and completely bursting with rich flavors thanks to the sheer amount of soya beans boiled into it. It was so comforting to drink alongside the rich, roasted meats. Despite the frantic dinner rush and a long line of hungry customers to feed, the service was excellent. The female server handling our transaction was incredibly polite, welcoming, and very prompt with my order. Whether you are an AMK local or visiting family in the area, this stall is a massive winner. It hits the perfect trifecta of high-quality execution, great portion sizes, and wonderful customer service. I am already looking forward to returning to enjoy this hearty feast again!
