Han Jia Bak Kut Teh Pork Leg

The young lady at the store added joy to the food. She was smiling and patient while I was choosing between the kailan or the preserved vegetables, helping me to cut my vegetables and asking whether I need sauce for the rice. The pork ribs were tender, easy to eat for senior. The soup peppery yet you can drink a whole bowl without your tongue burning. The kailan was cooked just nice. The whole set at $10.90 with refill of soup available. Dinner was delicious.

Happy to see set B with braised pig trotter, BKT soup with one rib and rice, at reasonable price of $10. Had mine on Sat 12 noon, opted for fatty pig trotter, meat falling off the bone. Soup has strong pepper and garlic taste, with a small hint of herbs. Overall good meal, ordered another portion for takeaway.

Ordered the fatty pork trotter with rice, and the pork trotter was excellent. It was tender, flavorful, and had a nice balance of lean meat and soft, melt-in-your-mouth fat. The savory sauce paired really well with the meat, making it a very satisfying dish. The total came to $7.90 ($6.90 for the pork trotter and $1 for rice). The pork trotter portion was surprisingly generous, easily enough for two people to share. The only minor downside was that the rice portion felt a little small compared to the amount of meat. I also noticed they offer set meals that look like a great option for families or groups, with portions that seem suitable for two to three people. Overall, a solid place to enjoy hearty, well-cooked pork trotters, and I will definitely be back to try one of the set meals next time.

I’m familiar with the peppery, herbal and clear styles of bak kut teh, but this tastes like in a whole different league. There’s the comforting pepper warmth at the base—not too peppery, with light herbal notes (likely from thinly sliced dang gui) that don’t overpower. Truly the kind of “genius makes things look simple”. The soup warmed the throat and chest, and the ribs were so tender they slid off the bone, and the soft bone gives a nice crunch. The meat is thin, but honestly I’d take this over the thick ribs elsewhere that can be hard and get stuck in your teeth. The pig’s ears were equally tender and nicely marinated, with just the right hint of garlic and spices. The chilli was robust with a light garlic note. Was looking for something warm and simple to comfort a gassy stomach—this bak kut teh totally delivered and saved the day. A comforting bowl of BKT & pig's ears for just $9.90. Super value for money 🤝🏼🤝🏼 First visit on a Sunday evening. Fingers crossed the tenderness wasn’t just because it was simmering the whole day near closing time 😂😂

This is my go-to place for braised pork leg done right! Great flavor, not overly salty, fall-off-the-bone tenderness... and you can opt for lean, fatty or half fatty, which is my choice. Oh their bah kut teh is awesome too! Food portion is generous and reasonably priced. They haven't adjusted their prices for years now as far as I remember. Been enjoying their food for many years and today I've got to drop them a good review to thank them for serving such great foods that lasted to the third generation running it now I understand. Today I bought takeaway, which explains for my photos taken at home.

Came to eat Han Jia Bak Kut Teh at East Coast Lagoon Village FC again after sometime. Still wonderfully delicious 😋 and as always , such great value at just S$9.90 per BKT Set. 3rd Generation Owner Chole is into her 2nd year running her Parent's business with Grandad's recipe after graduating 🎓 last year. The smell is so gooood when we passing by your stall, unfortunately the pork leg fat part sold out but the lean part is nice toooo!! We will definitely come back again for trying the other dishes as I bet all of them are delicious too!!
